  • Roethlisberger suspension racist!

Ray Lewis could of murdered a man and at the very least knows who did and inhibited justice by not talking. Which would make him an accomplice.

Jamal Lewis was caught drug trafficing like he was scar face and doesn't get suspended.

Michael Vick kills and tortures dogs for his amusement and only gets four games.

What do these people have in common. All were officially charged and found guilty of crimes and all are african american.

Ben Roethlsberger is white and has been accused but not found guilty nor been charged with a crime but gets a six game suspension. This is the NFL holding a white player to a different standard.

Not sure if srs? But if you are, there are some things you ignored.

Lewis' incident didn't happen under Goodell's totalitarian regime, it was when Paul Tatagliabou, or that guy, was Commisioner.

Vick spent a year not only away from football, but in jail. That also had a heavy influence in Goodell's decision, believe it or not.

Not sure what ended up having with Jamal.

Ben wasn't punished the first time, but this time was a punishment for both. Repeated offense, thus the 4-6 games. I'm with you, I think it was two games at most, but I see where Goodell got the suspension from.

I'm more worried with Ben fixing his s*** and convincing the Rooney's he can change, than with the suspension. We can lose all 4-6 (not likely though$ with him out and still make the playoffs.

    Props to clover_jeez!

I like how he left out pacman who was also not convicted but was suspended for a year. I think jamal lewis happened under Paul Tags and he got probation in the criminal case but I could be wrong.

Goodell's decision has nothing to do with race, any more than it has one iota to do with morals or personal conduct.

It's all about protecting the brand, "the shield," which is to say, if Goodell thinks he has to suspend Ben 6 games to protect the big money interests of the NFL, then that's what he's going to do.

If Goodell thought the NFL would lose a billion dollars unless he put his own mother in a pot and cooked her, you could start dicing carrots and potatoes and gathering firewood right now.

Pac man Jones was arrested ten times and charged most of them. Ben been arrest zero times and charged zero times. I think a one game suspension by the league and one by the steelers would of been a big enough message.

Most of those things you mentioned did not happen in the Goodell era.

Hey you forgot to mention PAC-Man, and Tank Johnson, and Chris Henry...lets just make a list.
                Ben Rothlisberger
                Pac Man
Tank Johnson - 8 games 07 arrested twice
Chris Henry - 8 games in 07 repeated offender
                MV7
                Marshawn Lynch
                Donte' Stallworth
                Larry Johnson
                Brandon Marshall
                Bryant McKinnie
                Fabian Washington
                Fred Evans
                Jerramy Stevens
Odell Thurman - Suspended in 06 4 games, season in 07, reinstated 08 and then suspended for rest of season.

Larry Johnson got 1 game for not being arrested.

Ben had the same accusations brought up against him twice. And the Steelers are not allowed to do that, the NFLPA would sue the hell out of the Steelers and NFL then.

                      Chris Henry

On December 15, 2005, Henry was pulled over in northern Kentucky for speeding. During a search, marijuana was found in his shoes. He was also driving without a valid driver's license or valid insurance.[19] He pleaded guilty and avoided a jail sentence.

One month later, on January 30, 2006 he was arrested in Orlando, Florida for multiple gun charges including concealment and aggravated assault with a firearm.[20] He was reported to have been wearing his #15 Bengals jersey at the time of his arrest. He pleaded guilty to this charge and avoided jail time.

On April 29, Henry allowed three underage females (ages 18, 16 and 15) to consume alcohol at a hotel in Covington, Kentucky.[21] One of the three, an 18-year-old woman, accused Henry of sexually assaulting her; she later retracted her story and was charged with filing a false police report.[22] On January 25, 2007, Henry pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor violation of a city ordinance commonly referred to as a "keg law." He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with all but two of those days being suspended.[21]

He was pulled over on Interstate 275 in Ohio on June 3 at 1:18 A.M. by Ohio Highway Patrol trooper Michael Shimko for surmised drunk driving. He voluntarily submitted to a breathalyzer test at 2:06 A.M. at the Milford Police Department and registered a .092 blood-alcohol level, .012 above the level permitted in the state of Ohio.[23]

On October 6, he was suspended by the NFL for two games for violating the league's personal conduct and substance abuse policies. NFL policies forbade Henry from taking part in practices, however, he was allowed to attend any team meetings. Henry missed the Bengals' October 15, 2006 game at Tampa Bay and their October 22, 2006 home game versus Carolina.[24]

The following April, Henry was suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 NFL season for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.[12] His suspension on the 10th came with a stern warning that future misconduct may result in the end of his career with the NFL. Henry was given permission by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to begin practicing fully.[25] His suspension was lifted and he played in the November 11, 2007 game versus the Baltimore Ravens, amassing 4 catches for 99 yards.

Henry allegedly assaulted a valet attendant at Newport on the Levee in Newport, Kentucky on November 6, 2007.[26] He was arrested for a second time in Orlando on December 3 for violating his probation he was on from a January 30, 2006 arrest. On February 21, 2008, he was found not guilty.

On March 31, 2008, Henry punched a man named Gregory Meyer, 18, and threw a beer bottle through the window of his car. Henry claimed it was a case of mistaken identity and also that he thought it was somebody else that owed him money.[27] Henry was waived by the Bengals a day after this arrest and was then served a house arrest sentence.

Yeah, lets put Ben in the same league as Chris Henry! Like I said Ben has none nothing wrong in the eyes of the law. I know the league has the right to suspend him without an arrest or conviction. But this is unpresidented. Not ONE of those players you mentioned were not charged or arrested. In almost all your examples both happened multiple times!

Bottom line this was a white guy the league wanted to make an example of and they did.

Yeah But not all of that took place while Goodell was in charge. He came in Sept 2006.

And as you listed he was suspended multiple times, with 8 being the harshest.

Okay what about Jeff Reed who has been in arrested multiple times for being drunk in public or disorderly conduct twice with no punishment. He is white but has not been suspended or even considered for it.

No one actually cares about kickers. They are the gingers of the football world. Soulless.
