  • Rams just fired a coach that had 10 wins in his first three seasons...

Let's enjoy a very nice first season regardless of the post-season and see what personnel moves Baalke and Maarathe make in the offseason. We will be facing a team with significant playoff experience and our roster has next to none. A good showing will be a bonus facing that condition alone.

I've got to admit that did cross my mind. But then I thought of David Akers and all was right in the world.

Isn't it sick that Blackmon is going to be in our divison for the next 10 years? Megatron Part 2.

The QBs were Joey Harrington and Byron Leftwich. They also replaced the coordinator, head coach, and starting RB.

Clearly it was only Matt Ryan who made a difference.
Still, 47 sacks with three offensive linemen starting the previous season down to 17. And yes the quarterbacks were Harrington and Leftwich, guys who are terrible quarterbacks and don't get rid of the ball quick enough like Ryan. He is the main difference maker. Doesn't matter if you have other good pieces around you with players and staff, if you don't have a talented quarterback that can feel pressure, get rid of the football, and make good decisions it doesn't matter. That's what scouting is for. A good example is Jamie Martin replacing Bulger for the Rams a few years ago. He still sucked despite having Jackson in the backfield and Bruce and Holt on the outside.

What? I can't be critical of my own team? Doesn't matter if they are 13-3 or 3-13. Problems with a team are problems with a team.

You would think they were 3-13 with how much you complain.

I do a good amount of defending against the other members of this board when it comes to the 49ers and they simply don't know what they are talking about. Even when it comes to Alex Smith, who I'm not that big a fan of.

I'm being honest though. I'm not comfortable as a fan with our offense and in particular our quarterback. And that hasn't changed. He's had a decent year, but he still hasn't carried the team on his back consistently. One day he won't have such a great defense or special teams play against a particular opponent. A really good opponent on the road. Better than an 8-8 Eagles team with a terrible secondary. And he'll have to bring the team back. We'll see what happens.

Smith the O-Line, WRs, TEs, and RBs.

Smith has the most sway but even him ready to play the game of his career could be sabotaged.

Romo didn't flop on Sunday night and Eli was great but his O-Line also kept him from getting hit and Cruz made a couple great plays.

Cruz by himself had 5 huge plays this year avg of 77 a piece. We had no play 60 yards long.

Yeah, 3 passes attempted in the ENTIRE 4th Quarter. He completed 2 of them.

lol, I didn't even notice that. niner fans are batcrap crazy, easily the dumbest fanbase in the league.

btw, Ness didn't blame the Rams comeback on Alex.

                        • I am curious to see how the draft players out this year, mostly to see if Harbaugh takes some of his players from Stanford after Doug Baldwin, and Richard Sherman got away.

He also got sacked on his last attempt on a third down right? Not blaming him for the Rams late surge, but if I remember correctly he took another self sack. Needs to get rid of the ball on that play.

Not even Dez Bryant Part 2. His name shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breathe as Megatron. He's good but far from elite. He reminds me alot of Crabtree. Not sold on his ability at the next level just yet. No where as physically gifted as Megatron. I'm not even sure I'd put him on AJ Green's level. Just a notch below.

You do realize he took that sack to eat up the clock right? I sure would have been mad if he chucked that ball out of bounds and stopped the clock at that juncture. He would have done the Rams a huge favor there. And if I recall correctly, they had to burn their last timeout because of the sack. Very heady play by Alex there.
