I read TJ Houshmandzadeh might be released....

Marcus from San Jose writes: Are there are any veteran receivers Oakland could have its eye on?

Bill Williamson: I think Oakland will definitely look at receivers on the waiver wire after the Sept. 4 cut day. The Raiders are young and green at the position. They could use some veteran help. I have a name to keep tabs on: T. J. Houshmandzadeh. There has been some chatter that Seattle could cut him. If so, I think Oakland could pounce on him. His skills are dwindling and he will be 33 soon. But he’s a veteran who could help this unit. Again, he’s not available yet. But if he becomes free, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raiders pursued Houshmandzadeh.

I'd love you to have him in Oakland, too. I'm not a fan of having a slow wideout at the top of the depth chart. And I'll add that I don't want Vincent Jackson for 10 mil a year, either. He's a poor-man's Brandon Marshall, so... he shouldn't cost as much.
