Yeah I agree he'll be taken before he gets to us. But it isn't out of the realm of possibility that he drops to us either. That happened to Kindle last year, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised if that very same thing happens with Kerrigan this year haha. (passing on him like three times of course ;) )

I don't know how old you are, but if you can get to 24/25 without getting arrested or killed, you've done well for yourself lol.
I think if we have a chance at one of the top OLB's this year then we will take him. Cunningham is talented and should develop into a solid starter, but we need someone opposite him. At least two of Kerrigan, Quinn, Aldon Smith, Von Miller, Akeem Ayers, and Justin Houston should be available at 17. I'm not saying I am too high on all of those guys, but if the right player falls to us then I think we need to realize that even though he may not be DeMarcus Ware we might need to take him. Quinn, Smith, and Kerrigan are guys I really like for us.
Cunningham is helped by the fact he can play the run and set the edge well. Still haven't seen much of him in coverage and he doesn't project to be a very good player in that role...but you never know. I have mixed feelings about Cunningham at this point. Certainly not giving up on him, but we need another guy bad.
Personally I think too much is made out of the "can he play in coverage" question when it comes to these DE/OLB conversion guys. Were McGinest, Vrabel, and Colvin great coverage guys? You wouldn't ask any of them to go out in space and cover someone man on man.
But they were good because they were athletic and mobile enough to get out into the flat and keep the play in front of them. That's really all you need in my opinion. If you want a cover man then you don't look at 6'3 260 pound guys.
I thought Cunningham did a good job when he was asked to back up in coverage. I think he will be a good all around OLB but he will never put up big sack totals. I agree with everyone who said he would be great as a complement to a guy on the other side who could really rush the passer.
2012 Patriots Anti-Draft
1 - Anyone but Shea McClellin, Derek Wolfe, Peter Konz, Kendall Reyes, Harrison Smith, Whitney Mercilus or a RB
2 Anyone but McClellin, Wolfe, Doug Martin or an OT
Eh. It helps them stay on the field. I don't think Cunningham ever projects to be more than a solid type pass rusher so it adds to his value greatly if he can play a complete game. Of those guys you mentioned, Vrabel was great in coverage and could pretty much do anything we needed him to on the field. The others were more in the "defensive end who stands up" mold.
i think what we saw in cunningham isnt everything he will be for us in the future. he was out ALOT of the preseason and didnt play in any preseason games.... he never really got his full set of reps.... his reg season was kind of like preseason..... i think he will be a very solid starter for us... dont give up on the guy already
I like Cunningham as a Colvin type player only more athletic. He may not be a franchise pass rusher, but could be a great situational player who contributes a lot. I think he could develop into a starter but he is not the sole answer to our pass rush woes, be definitely need at least one more pass rusher and I think (hope) we look at one in the first this year. Adding a guy like Aldon Smith, Robert Quinn, or Ryan Kerrigan would be awesome and really help Cunningham out a lot with his development.
Saying he might be a situational guy isn't meant to sell him short either. Cunningham is very athletic and showed some moves in getting to the QB, plus he has some tenacity and toughness. He still needs to learn and pick up the nuances of the game which should come, but his biggest weakness is definitely his strength. He plays tough but he struggled to finish sacks and didn't really have much of a power game last year. I think Cunningham will improve and develop into a solid starter, but he definitely showed us some encouraging signs last year.
