I'm glad the titans didn't get themselves mixed up in the nate clements 80 million dollar deal. he's a good player, but personally not worth near that amount of money. I would like to see us go after Dewayne White the DE from tampa. Hes younger than kerney and prob cheaper.

No, i beleive will will resign him, if not than i see us going after a cheap FA RB to form a one - two punch with White.

White is a guy under the radar, iw ouldn't if the Titans signed him also. I agree with you on the Clements deal. Also i wouldn't mind bringing Kevin Carter back for a few more years for the right price.

Anyone heard anything about the titans and any visits being scheduled? I dont think ive heard of them having one guy in for a visit yet. I also haven't heard much about donte stallworth today which is surprising cause ive pretty much been locked in on nfl network.

I'd sign Dewayne White, too. We need more active bodies on the DL. You guys remember the Superbowl DL with Evans, Fisk, Ford, Holmes, Kearse, and Thornton. I mean, besides Kearse and Josh Evans for a little while, those guys weren't exactly world beaters, but the DL was a strength because they played active and aggressive.

We need to get rid of these scrubs like Conover and Josh Savage and get some quality depth that can actually play.

I'd look at Ian Scott from the Bears also.

I'd love to sign Dewayne White, but I don't think he's under the radar by any means. White is #8 on Yahoo's Top 20 FA list. And I think the main reason for that is, in the list of FA DE's, it goes Patrick Kerney(starter for Atlanta-4.5 sacks, 2 FF, 2 PD in 9 games), Dewayne White(starter for Tampa...I think-5 sacks, 3 FF, 7 PD), and then Kenyon Coleman(back-up DE for Dallas-4 sacks, 1 FF, 2 PD)/Jarrett Johnson(back-up SLB for the Ravens-1.5 sack, 1PD)/Antwan Peek(1 sack, 2 FF, 1 PD).

In my opinion, the DE ranking goes Kerney, White, and the rest. Kenyon Coleman had a good year as a back-up, but he's a 3-4 DE. After Coleman, the production of the DE's decreases. So for most 4-3 teams, its Kerney and White as legitimate starting DE's. Kerney may ask for too much, and with the lack of depth at DE in FA, White may get more than he's actually worth.

But, I wouldn't mind over-paying him a bit, but not too much. He's 6'2, 270, and probably has long arms with how many pass deflections he's had. And I hear he didn't get that much playing time behind Simeon Rice and Greg Spires. Would definitely be a great attention to our lack luster D-line.
                Still Team The Ke$ha!!!

Henry was released today, and is now headed up to Denver to talk to them. So if Henry leaves, which is a 50-50 chance IMO, do we go after another FA, draft another RB 1st day, trade for one, or try to resign Brown and just keep it at a one - two punch with him and White.

I'd like to re-sign Chris Brown, not sure if he wants it though.

I'd rather us try to draft antonio pittman or lorenzo booker. for some reason i think their styles would complement lendale better than chris' would.

Doesn't look initially like Bobby Wade will be back.

With Bennett gone, the Titans are even thinner at receiver, and the agent for Bobby Wade told The City Paper that “there is nothing going on with the Titans and Bobby right now.” The Titans’ initial offer to Wade was less than $1 million per year, far lower than what they were expecting.

I have no problem with that. I'd love to have Wade back as a slot receiver and KR/PR option, but he's NOT a guy we should overpay for. Guys like him can be had anywhere. Who knows, we might even already have one like him on the roster (Roby?). That said, I would like to bring him back, because he apparently is a real positive influence in the locker room and Fisher seems to have a mancrush on him. Just don't overpay for a freaking slot receiver.

By the way, Kevin Carter just signed with Tampa Bay. I swear to god if we have to start Travis LaBoy at DE next year I'm gonna puke. And don't even get me started on Randy Starks if someone else isn't brought in.

I actually like the Collins signing. Veteran back-up than can play if VY goes down with inury(*knocks on wood*). I still think he can win games, but the situation he was thrown into last year was a mess.

Yeah, I'm fine with it too. I just thought that for our first FA signing, it was rather anti-climactic
