  • Jeff Fisher about to join exclusive club.

    UNCE! UNCE! UNCE! UNCE! UNCE!

No sillies, not that club! It's a far more illustrious, less homosexual club!

This coming Sunday, Fish will be the 8th HC in the history of the NFL to coach 250 games!

    The other HC's:

    -George Halas
    -Tom Landry
    -Don Shula
    -Chuck Noll
    -Curly Lambeau
    -Steve Owen
    -Bud Grant

Some of the best coaches of all time, and even as one of the biggest Fish fans around, I won't put him on the same pedastal as them. But! I will say he's the only Salary Cap era coach on there. And in an era where rules are instated to force a trend of .500 records over a long period of time, Fisher having a better record than that over 16 years including a franchise move, poor GM'ing and salary cap hell, and cheap yet still intervening ownership, I'd say he's been pretty damn good. :)

Good coach - poor playoff record holds him back.

Over-rated coach - longevity is the biggest reason for his reputation.

I love the stache. I was down on him over the 0-6 start last year, but I admited it would be really sad to see him go. I really can't picture him coaching another team, it would probably be worse than Eddie and Steve leaving IMO. His superbowl is coming, and I just hope it is with us.

He has got to get a Superbowl before he can be great. He knows his challenge. Now is he worthy to complete it? 32 coaches enter, one shall leave victorious.
