This are definately looking great for years to come with the Titans. Chow will likely be staying in Tennessee along with Fisher, and we will have plenty of cap money to get a couple of FAs again this year. Someone like Asante Samuel would be great for this team helping out Pacman to make one of the better tandems at CB in the league. Then imagine VY with Tedd Ginn to thrown to along with Brandon Jones, David Givens, and Bo Scaife. And did we let Ben Troupe go?? I dont know why we would since he is an up and coming TE and hes young. This team definately has a shot next year at competing for the playoffs and the AFC South title.
Troupe wasn't doing much this year, a big let down, but he is on IR right now.
I am glad that Chow turned down the Stanford job and is staying with us. I trust Vince's development in his hands, and I think he's done a good job with the offense given the circumstances, but the main thing is his ability to help develop quarterbacks. It's also nice to keep continuity, especially early in a QB's career.
Also gotta give props to Chris Brown. He popped off some nice chunks when he was in the game, and to be honest, I think the way we used him Sunday is the role he's best suited for. Let him come in halfway through extended drives when the defense is wearing down and let him find a crease and get big gains. He can't be trusted to hold up as a feature back throughout a season (or a game for that matter), but he's good as a changeup guy. He also had a GREAT blitz pickup on the final TD run in overtime. He's always been a strong pass protector. He seems to have a positive attitude through it all as well, so I can respect him for that.
They had VY's GW-run on the top 10 (as #2 to LT's record-setting TD run). Salisbury said "This one's for you HOGEY (pronounced Hoge + the "y" pronounced like an "-ie")! I don't care about mechanics, about how he throws, yada yada yada (a little editing there on my part), he WINS GAMES!"
All Hoge could say was "so if he starts losing games, is he a loser?" And that was pretty much all he could get in with Salisbury & Wingo making fun of him until they got to play #1.
