    • Lol, I love the part about LenDale telling the media that he had never heard of Chris Henry. I'm anxious to see these two confident guys compete for the starting spot.
      Still Team The Ke$ha!!!

      • Do Titans fans feel that the team will really regress this season? I have been seeing a couple '08 mock drafts(yes I know we are more then a year away but nothing wrong with just looking at the top players) and more than a few people think the Titans will have a top 10-12 pick. I thnk with the losses we have already had to the team(Bennett, Henry, Pacman) we might be 7-9 or 6-10, but anything is possible when Vince Young is guiding your team. What do you guys think?

hopefully some of our risks pan out, if they do i see another 8-8

            • There's alot of question marks, but there's alot of potential. I think this season could go either way. It would have been a huge huge huge boost if Pac didn't get suspended. A secondary of Pac, Harper, Griffin, and Hope with Finnegan in the nickel would have given us our best defensive backfield in years.

I think Albert is gonna play great this season. It's his contract year and he's coming off a situation that's gonna make teams nervous about paying him alot of money. So if he wants to get paid, he's gonna have to play balls to the wall on the field. My question is who's gonna win the battle to start next to him? Rien Long should help out alot on passing downs. He's our best interior rusher.

DE I'm worried about. KVB is good. I wish all our DL played like he does. I hope Odom can stay healthy for a full year because I think he's better suited to be an every down end than LaBoy is.

LB should be ok, but I question their ability to stuff the run a bit. But we've got 2 guys on the outside that are great at pursuit. Hopefully whoever wins the MLB job is the guy that's best at defending the run.

Secondary, should be ok. I'll have to wait and see what the depth chart is gonna look like though. If it includes LaMont...we're doomed. I'd still like to see a lineup of Harper and Finnegan on the outside, Fuller in nickel, and Griff and Hope at safety. We'll have to see how it shakes out, but it has potential to be solid, though inexperienced.

I think the OL will be good again this year, especially with Roos and Stewart having another year under their belts, and with Bell getting back fully to 100%. Mawae and Olson are getting old, but we've got some young guys behind them. Mawae is still playing at a high level, and Olson did better than I thought he would last year, though still not great. Should be a solid unit.

RB is a big question mark. I mean huge. But it has alot of potential for greatness and for failure, and that's a little scary. Apparently LenDale's weight is fine now, we'll see what he can do. Hopefully Henry erases some doubts that we have about him. He definately has the physical tools. One thing that has stood out is how much they are talking about his ability to catch the ball, so I think he'll be an assett in the passing game. I'm optimistic about this position, but nervous. Ahmard Hall is a straight beast. He's one of the best FB's in the game that no one knows about and I don't have any hesitancy in saying that.

I don't know about the receivers yet either. Brandon Jones is gonna be good. I have no doubts about that. I think he can definately be a 50 catch, 700 yard guy. Whether or not he can develop into a #1 remains to be seen. I don't know if he can. Everyone else is up in the air, and should battle it out in camp. Givens health is a question mark. I think he could ultimately end up on the PUP list. It will be interesting to see. Roby and Roydell need to step it up bigtime if they wanna make the team. I think Roby may be safe because he can be a KR. Scaife is a good solid receiving TE, but needs to stay healthy and block better. Troupe needs to regain his 2005 form and be more consistent catching the ball. He has the potential to be so good, if he can just be more consistent. If he steps it up, it could really alleviate some of our woes at receiver.

I have no questions about the QB position.

I used the word "potential" in this summary about 10 times. That's a little scary

              • Sadly potential usually means in about 2-3 years. I am hoping some of these moves actually do work, but I don't know what to expect from the defense and I'm not sure what to expect Young after another year. I expect him to get better, but we still don't have a true #1 for him. Hopefully Henry and White will be a good backfield. I also wonder how the Griffin at CB will work, and if he actually does well, do we keep him there even after Pacman comes back?

                • As far as how we've improved/declined over the off season, I guess we've declined, but not by as much as people think. Yeah, we lost our biggest rusher and our top 2 recievers, but they're not that great of losses, as I've explained later in this post. And when you think about it, the difference in the talent that we lost and have gained isn't that much. I think LenDale and Chris can take over for what Travis could have done for us, and Chris Davis will take over for Bobby. Drew was injured often too, so not seeing him on the field won't be huge. And it wasn't like he commanded the attention of a defense. They're all just unproven guys, and that makes people get their panties all in a bunch. Losing Pac will be the biggest problem for this team, and not because of his CB skills. Him and Vince were the reasons why we won some of the games we did. Pac's PR skills were amazing, and helped so much in terms of field position and momentum. Our team is struggling, Pac takes a punt to the house, and everything is fine and dandy. And we have no one on our roster that can replace what he brought to the table. Thats the only thing I'm worried about.

As far as how well we do, I have a lot of confidence in Vince Young. I think that man will never fail at anything he does, and will always succeed. I'm not worried about having no proven RB's or WR's around him. It would be nice, but Vince is the type of QB that makes ALL the players around him better. There's a reason Travis Henry had a great season last year and that our line played very well. The whole team is behind him, as well as all of the fans. The staduim will be blacked out every game, and I think that our guys will be playing with a chip on their shoulder, confidence in their ability and leadership, and a motivation after narrowly missing the playoffs.

We will not be picking in the top 15 in the draft next year. And after looking at our schedule, I would not be the least bit suprised if we got 9-7.
                  Still Team The Ke$ha!!!

Blacked out every game I think not...there are 15,000 people waiting to get season tickets and around 200,000 people in the midstate that watch the Titans on TV every Sunday...I dont see us not selling out every game, its never happened and i dont think it ever will, but maybe u know something I dont

As far as the team I think we have regressed some and have just to many question marks in general

The secondary is Pacman away from being one of the best in the league...but with there being a chance that lamont or reynaldo could be on the field, that scares me to death. Not to mention our 1st round pick this year might not even be playing his real position is definatly not a good sign

WR scares me to death, besides Brandon Jones we dont have anybody with any experiance at all if Givens isnt back, we need a #1 and this year is going to prove that

RB scares me too, like pit said we could be great or we could SUCK BAD...i mean we have a running back that has weight problems and another that ran for about 800 yrds in his college career. but the one thing i do like is we have the best two players that were on the field in the national championship from two years ago in our back field in Lendale and Vince, Lendale did score like 50 td;s in college and was a beast but who knows what will happen this season

                      • titans suck and at this rate will run VY into the ground and fast. he has no help. they lost henry and brown. they drafted another henry who is just a workout wonderboy - look like tarzan, play like jane type of guy. teh only guy really available is a seemingly unmotivated white.

also grabbing 10 WRs doesnt necessarily mean you improved your passing attack. they pretty much all are mediocre talents.

VY is going to be forced to run a lot and that will open him up for some hits. even though he's a big boy, its gonna take its toll - mentally and physically.

well what I thought blcaked out meant was that a game wasnt sold out and blacked out(not shown on tv) in the nashville area

                              • We got our 3rd QB:

                                http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs..../70509055/1027

I think it's a good move. Rattay is a solid player. He might can be the backup QB after Collins retires if he sticks around long enough.
