Itís a foregone conclusion in many folksí minds in Washington that Santana Moss will return to something close to the stellar numbers he put up in 2005, but other sources are not so sure that he will be able to avoid getting hurt, a problem throughout his career prior to í05. The fact that he suffered through hamstring injuries in June was not considered a good sign; thatís a time when players who are truly healthy should remain so. Itís exactly the kind of nagging injury that has kept Moss from being one of the best receivers in the game. The good news is that QB Jason Campbell appears to be progressing this offseason, and entering his third season as a pro (and second straight in the same offense, a luxury he hadnít had since high school), the indications are that the passing game will be in good hands. But those hands must include the slippery Moss, who has the long speed to tilt the field and also the elusiveness to take a short screen or a slant the distance. That threat keeps linebackers pinned in, which in turn opens up everything else.
