  • Redskins' 2008 Draft

The 2008 Draft is finally here!

It's Draft weekend, and best of luck to the Washington Redskins in finding good players to help the team for the future.

We can go for a DE, DB, or WR in the first, or trade up/down.

I have no idea who we take at number 21, I cant wait!

i agree, im very excited because i feel like for the first time in a while i have no clue what we will do and thats always fun. i think in the end they trade down and acquire maybe another 2nd or 3rd for this year or next. if they stay at 21, who knows what they will do im guessing merling or one of the elite tackles if they fall... cant wait!

I really have no idea. I'm in favour of trading down but failing that Merling @ #21 would be fine. I pray to God we don't go for Malcolm Kelly at all. Nelson in rd 2 would be fantastic.

          I AGREE, NO KELLY!

Bad knees, slow as hell, BSU beat OU in the fiesta bowl (Kelly was hurt for that game)

All good reasons we should stay away from him, but sadly we do have interest in him...

what would really be awful is if we took him at 21, but i doubt that will happen... i have no problem takin him in the 2nd though i think he will fit nicely here

Wow Devin Thomas, great pick. When he dropped to us at 21 I said take him, but to get him at 33 and pick up an extra 2nd is incredible. He is the best fit for us. Great after the catch but also has the size to jump and grab it. Has the explosiveness a Sweed lacks.

I know it might be overkill but yes we need O-line help, DE help, LB, CB, safety but one plus about having extra picks is the ability to draft on talent, and maybe with out 3rd 2nd rounder #51 we draft Limas Sweed there, and our passing game is set for a long time. Or maybe a James Hardy with our 3rd rounder awarded to us.

I would've rather had Merling or Phillips with 34, but you can't really argue with the value we got and the great scheme fit that Devin Thomas is. Now with the last two second round picks I'd like to see us grab Calais Campbell and Tyrell Johnson.

Well there goes Tyrell, now I want us to take Reggie Smith, Trevor Laws seems to be a person the 'Skins are targeting or even take maybe Dan Connor? Or like you said just take the best value.

I don't get that pick at all.

Now Malcolm Kelly - Vinny is an idiot. No DL or Oline. What the hell is going on.
