  • ***National Fantasy League Signups***

What is the National Fantasy League?
The Ultimate Role Playing Game. Almost every aspect of the NFL is represented. Players, of course, but GM's, Coaches, Agents, almost anything you can think of is represented in the URPG.

What do I have to do?
It really depends on what you sign up to be. GM's have to create the team/ logo/ stadium name, negotiate contracts (guidelines will be posted after signups) as well as hire coaches. Coaches are self explainitory, you decide who sits and starts, set your teams philosophy as well as handle situations that arise along with the GM. Agents fight for the services of players, agree on a % he will get from the players contract and negotiate deals with GMs. Players post interviews, pretty much everything imaginable. You can be a Marvin Harrison or Terrell Owens, its up to you. Also one person will be the paparazzi, this person will leak stories about players involved in bar fights, team chemistry, trade rumours, steroids, basically everything imaginiable and the commisioner (me) will investigate and decide on whether to hand out punishment.

    How do I sign up?
    Fill whichever form is applicable.

    No structure here.

    NOTE:
Signups will end late Sunday Night. On Monday GM's will be named and asked to submit their franchise info, PLayers will be assigned overalls, etc. Than the chaos of the offseason will begin.
A salary cap will be determined based on signups. No more than a Three year deal can be made.

The is a business and shady things go on, it is illegal to entice a player to come to your team through giving rep, however if you dont get caught... If your star player gets handed a 3 game suspension and you need him back for next week, brib the commish with rep, it is illegal, but is it true every man has his price? The shady side of the bussiness comes into play.

    NOTE:
Players Overall will be determined at random, keep in mind that if there are alot of WR's some will get high ratings & some wil get low. However if you sign up for a position with few applicants your overall will likley be high. There will be six teams.

    NOTE:
Agents: You want your client to get the most money, and then take a cut of it yourself. 5%, 10%, 20%, whatever cut you want, make it clear when you're trying to earn a client, than go find that player a home. Just by striking one big deal you can attract alot of players to hire you. Loook out for your players, the press may be on them so step to that mic and defend the guy you say you love.

Coaches: These GM's want you coaching their organizations. Don't take minimal contracts, because without you, there is no coach. Make as much money as you can, however you also want to pressure GMs to acquire players that will help your type of offense. Pass heavy? Tell your GM to pick up the best QB out there. Whats your type, Players coach, strict, etc?

GMs: Just like in real life, the prestige of the GMs/Players/Coaches will affect the desire of others to come to the organization, so getting some Vets on your team or staff will be a big boost. Hire the coaches and influence the direction of your team. Be prepared to release statements for some of those troublemakers get in trouble. Do you run your team like the Patriots or Bengals?

Players: You're the best of the best. You make the money. You make the plays. You make the scores. Don't take a cheap contract. You're a superstar.

    NOTE:
If you're a HB, go to a team with a coach that runs a lot. If you're a coach that passes a lot, pressure your GM to pick you up a top QB.

    SIGNUPS ARE OFFICAILLY OPEN
    (Signups close late Sunday night)

    Good Luck, Commissioner Deacon Heffernan.

Can you have multiple people? Example: a coach and player?
      Great idea

No, that would create bias. Only one submission will be taken, thanks for the question though.

A cross between Doug Heffernan and Deacon Palmer
Are you watching King of Queens?
Should we add 40 times and bench and those sorts of numbers?
