  • NBA Salary Cap Draft Vote!!

we recently finished up an NBA salary cap draft where the cap was set at 58 mil. We had 12 picks, one being a free rookie. Your duty is to vote for the best team in a 3 year dynasty. Not too hard, right?

here's are the teams with some explanations:

    saintsfan912: Hornets

    Hornets Depth Chart:

    PG - Raymond Felton/DJ Augustin
    SG - Caron Butler/Ben Gordon/Rashad McCants
    SF - Kevin Durant/Julian Wright
    PF - David West/Andrea Bargnani
    C - Emeka Okafor/Tyson Chandler/Spencer Hawes

Perfect running team. Very athletic team with plenty of scoring and defense. Very young too, should win for years.

    Depth Chart

PG : Steve Nash | Jerryd Bayless | Daniel Gibson
SG : Brandon Roy | Nick Young | Daniel Gibson
    SF : Rudy *** | Jeff Green
PF : Kevin Garnett | David Lee | Paul Millsap | Andray Blatche
    C : Al Horford | Andray Blatche

    Roster/Depth Chart
PG: Jameer Nelson/OJ Mayo/ Delonte West
SG: Dwayne Wade/JR Smith/ OJ Mayo
SF: Lebron James/ Marvin Williams/JR Smith
    PF: Carlos Boozer/Brandon Bass/Carl Landry
    C: Andrew Bogut/DeSagana Diop/Carl Landry

Strengths: A number of Scoring options on offense. Young, Athletic, Quick and Explosive.
Weaknesses: Lack of a true PG; Lack of a defense stopper on the perimeter; Only one real quality low post scorer.

    1. Lebron James - $13,041,250
    2. Carlos Boozer - $11,593,816
    3. Jameer Nelson - $1,961,609
    4. Andre Bogut - $4,991,520
    5. JR Smith - $1,641,661
    6. OJ Mayo - $ Free
    7. Brandon Bass - $770,610
    8. Carl Landry - $427,163
    9. Dwyane Wade - $13,041,250
    10. Marvin Williams - $4,466,040
    11. DeSagana Diop - $2,146,000
    12. Delonte West - $1,889,759

    Final roster:

    PG - Derrick Rose, $0
    SG - Kobe Bryant, $19,490,625
    SF - Gerald Wallace, 9,500,000
PF - 1st year: Rasheed Wallace, $12,540,000, onward: Greg Oden, $4,662,000
    C - Andrew Bynum, $2,172,000

    6th man - PF/C - 1st year: Greg Oden, $4,662,000, onward: Rasheed Wallace, $12,540,000
    PF/C Jason Maxiell, $1,041,360
    SF/PF - Ryan Gomes, $770,610
    PG/SG - Randy Foye, $2,631,840
    SG - Sasha Vujacic, $1,756,951
    PF - Brandan Wright, $2,323,080
    SG/SF - Arron Afflalo, $944,520

Strategy: Defense, defense, defense and more defense. Wallace, Kobe, and Rose are all excellent man defenders, and all 4 post men play defense wonderfully. Let Kobe create on offense and rotate in bench shooters a lot. Can take out Kobe or Rose and let the other handle the ball, as both can create, distribute, and shoot. Use 4 starter-quality big man to keep everyone on fresh legs and create matchup problems.

Excellent starting 5 that can run with CP3 leading it with Iggy and T-Mac running the break with him. Duncan grabs the boards and Aldridge is the athletic big to run with them. We can also slow it down with CP3, Duncan and T-Mac. Off the bench is more athleticism to run with Sean Williams who is also alot of energy and excellent D off the bench. Jordan can also run and is an athletic big who will thrive with CP3 feeding him and complimenting Duncan. Nenad and Ronny are nice slow it down bigs to get some boards and give Duncan and the other bigs breathers. Brewer and Warrick are excellent wings in our run-n-gun offense in up-tempo games. Douby is the super sweet backup PG/SG who can spell CP3 and also be the spark plug off the bench with 3's.
