The Golden State Warriors select Derrick Favors, PF, Georgia Tech.

This was a pure BPA move. We feel that Derrick Favors has superstar potential, similar to that of Amare Stoudemire. We have Anthony Randolph at PF currently and Emeka Okafor at C, but Derrick Favors adds great depth to our frontcourt. He is only 18 years old, so he will learn being a prominent role player his rookie year, spelling Randolph at PF, and perhaps playing C in Donnie's famous small ball offense. We can also take advantage of Anthony Randolph's versatility putting him at SF and Favors at PF in big situations.

GM Cozmo Kramer felt that it was tought between Derrick Favors and Al Farouq Aminu, but in the end it came down to BPA and we like Favors' potential more. Our true targets besides John Wall of course were Evan Turner and Wesley Johnson but they were taken in back to back picks right before our selection which was unfortunate.
