I've been reading a lot about that and it happened to some friends of mine. It just completely stops working, even if you are trying to play offline. I've decided to stay off my ps3 for the night, let the people at sony try and fix it.

As long as it is working again by the time I get home tuesday night with The Show, no one will have to get hurt.

I'm waiting it out till I see people freaking out less. Probably the safest thing. I doubt there is any damage, but I'm fine with not playing. I figure they'll get things working tomorrow, so I can make it one night without playing.

Do you guys have older PS3s? Mine isnt that new but, it's not from launch or anything. I heard some people are able to play with newer PS3s for whatever reason. I'm not even sure I want to turn it on. ha. This is some BS.

Well my PS3 is on and everything is working fine. There is a bunch of people playing online as well. I got this PS3 last summer, it's about 7 months old.

My PS3 was the one that was bundled with MGS4. Not exactly old but not exactly new either.

Yeah ive heard the ones with the slim are able to play but the original Ps3's are having the trouble. I have an Original 80GB and I can't get on, Ive had it for 2 years.
