I've never been very fond of anime. It always felt like a great deal of it was far too ridiculous (or at least too Japanese) for me to really enjoy it. There are the rare exception, like Cowboy Beebop, which used to be on Adult Swim in the old days, and was pretty awesome. Also, I'm big fan of Hayao Miyazaki and I've heard some pretty positive reviews of Paprika, which is some new anime film that's supposed to look amazing (judge for yourself: http://youtube.com/watch?v=NclRSeV4pBA)

But yeah, I had my DBZ phase when I was 13 and then promptly got over anime.

I'm not pretending to be an expert on it. I've only seen a few things here and there. I watched a movie once that a bunch of guys said was an amazing anime movie. It seemed pretty stupid to me. To each his own I guess.

Well, I used to love it. Especially DBZ and Dragon Ball. I was a Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh nerd too, but I don't know if that counts as anime.

Other ones I liked: Rurouni Kenshin, TriGun, Samurii Champloo (never saw much of it though), Gundam Wing, Cowbow Beebop

But I stopped watching when I started having more to do, because most of it is at night. I used to stay up at night to watch, but that resulted in my grades dropping a lot. And then I got into football, and I don't want to be going to bed so late when I have to get up early. So, I guess I'll have to buy movies if I want to get into it again.

I don't know, I got awful sick of that almost-androgynous japanese male with ridiculous hair character. You know the one. The one in every anime series ever.

I've found some nuggets of quality in japanese animation (anyone who appreciates Japanese culture one tiny ioda should watch FLCL), I've waded through a lot more garbage trying to find them.

YuYu Hakusho was the ****...was the last series when they were at the tourney and he had to beat that one dude that could use whatever percentage of power he wanted?

Does anyone know where i could go to watch the Naruto episodes? I just got into the series and im a bit lost since ive missed so many episodes.

I used to like Cowboy Beebop, the Cowboy Beebop movie, Trigun, Full Metal Alchemist, DBZ(of course), the original Ghost in the Shell movie, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex. Oh, and of course Ninja Scroll is one of the best anime movies around IMO, along with Vampire Hunter D, the original and Bloodlust.
