      • The question is...how much action there will really be in the movie? I'm pretty sure, this trailer was probably a little more action packed than what we'll be seeing on screen. It will be interesting to see how they execute this...going from documentary to conventional movie shooting and back. I'm excited to find out...but, I'm certainly not anticipating a crazy amount of action, like this trailer showed near the middle/end.

        Thanks BoneKrusher^

        • Just curious, what trailer are you guys talking about?? Youtube videos show up blank at work. Usually I just blow it off, but ya'll seem to really like this one, so I want to check it out.

          Silverback....still the best.

          • District 9...trailer #2.

First trailer looks straight documentary style w/ minimal action.

second trailer shows lots of non documentray sequences, transformer esque looking robot/alien, more ships in the air, and lots of action.

            Thanks BoneKrusher^

            • If this thing does well, does that mean that there's gonna be a green light given to the Halo movie?

              • Could be. It's bound to do well. It's got a Cloverfield aroma surrounding it. haha. Only made for about $30 million. Great director/producer attached, great marketing plans, enticing trailers.

                Thanks BoneKrusher^

                • Just got home from work and watched trailer 2. I think it's safe to lay out this equation: mind = blown.

                  worker bees can leave
                  even drones can fly away
                  the queen is their slave

                  • This is Alive in Joberg. It's the 6 minute film by Neill Blomkamp that inspired District 9

                        • I declare District 9 10,000 times better than King Kong. I always loved the Frighteners, and LOTR, but KK does not belong.

You're aware that Peter Jackson is only a producer on District 9. He has nothing else to do with it so it's really not a Peter Jackson movie in my eyes

King Kong was pretty darn good. Although it was long it needed to be long. I thought Jack Black was awesome in that movie.

                              • Agreed. I was a fan of King Kong. A popcorn movie done right.
