      • Piven is overrated. He's also one of the biggest a holes in hollywood.

        • The Goods looks fine. No idea why it flopped like that, Jeremy Piven was everywhere promoting the show and I saw TV spots for it all the time.

What you see onscreen is pretty much how Ive heard he is in real life. I think hes funny as **** though. Ari Gold is one of the best characters on TV.

Considering it was showing here, I doubt it was in limited release. Maybe it was marketed too much and people grew tired of it, I know hearing "I have a 44 dollar haircut" five times a day for the last 30 days became quite annoying.

                • I also saw it got terrible reviews but, that wont stop most people. See Transformers 2.

Action movies are different. Plus TF2 really sucked and its suck was a spectacle to see.

                      • Yeah but, Jeremy Piven isnt someone that people are going to flock to the theatres to see. Most people dont give a damn about reviews, if they think it looks decent, they'll go see it. Like freaking, Meet the Spartans. lol. I dont think the bad reviews are the reason for the very poor weekend.

                        Thanks BoneKrusher^

                        • Just a reminder...

we're only a few days away from seeing James Cameron's Avatar's trailer and Inception's teaser trailer. Both are expected to be brought to light this week. Avatar has a trailer debuting online on Thursday and Inception will be seen in front of Inglourious Basterds. (spelling it like that is beyond annoying)

                          Thanks BoneKrusher^

One of the best and simplest examples of cinematography is in that movie.

It truly is. The camera work is amazing. I remember hearing somewhere that Frank Darabont (director of Shawshank Redemption) watched Goodfellas every morning before filming Shawshank.

Ray Liotta is amazing in that movie, that scene after he takes some drugs just makes me imagine if snorting coke is really like that.

BTW, was able to see District 9 last night, pretty good I must say. I like the parallels it had to real life, and the overall story was good. The aliens were believable enough, and the story was realistic that if an event like that happened, I could see the world's population acting like that.
