    • I saw Ninja Assassin. It sucked. I wasn't even expecting a good movie, just some fine action. I'm sure the action was good, but I couldn't tell what the **** was going on. When the ninjas show up, it's dark in the room. There are quick cuts and a shakey camera during the action scenes.. If you saw 28 Weeks Later, it's like the opening scene when the infected attack them in the house.

There's a ridiculous cop out ending and there's a moment before the climax of the movie that made me wonder why it was happening and how it came about.

This is more along the lines of what I'm looking for. I think a Special Edition of No Country came out recently, I'll have to pick that up. I've been meaning to get The Host for a long ass time. What I've seen from KKBB has looked pretty awesome. I'll also be picking up Sin Nombre, and there's a Criterion Collection version of Gomorrah that just came out. Good stuff.

        • Have you ever seen the Departed? Seems like everyone who owns Infernal Affairs doesnt have or want the Departed. If you havent seen it, it's certainly worth your time. It's excellent.

Also, I was going to share my dvd collection on that same site but, they dont have a lot of newer dvds, I got as far as Adventureland and they didnt have it. So, I'll probably have to do it elsewhere.

Oh and sleepless M.O.T.H. is watching RocknRolla on HBO again right now. <3

Yeah, I've seen the Departed quite a few times. I like it quite a bit. I bought Infernal Affairs after I saw The Departed.. I haven't watched it yet

            • The Departed is splendiferous. One of those movies where I watched it, wasnt all that impressed, and then when I went back and watched it again, I realized that what I was watching was a ******* classic. Great movie, definitely up there with Scorsese's best.

Also, awesomeness in big red form. I didnt like the second one, but the first one is fantastic.

                  • I watched it for the first time last night an I really enjoyed it. The acting in that movie is so good. Gary Oldman was amazing as was Natalie Portman. How can you not absolutely love Leon's character. I can't believe I waited so long to watch it but I'm glad I finally did.

                    • So I did a bit of a James Bond double feature today. Started it off with Casino Royale which I just love and might be my favorite action movie. Then I realized I'd never seen Quantum of Solace, which I knew going in would leave me disappointed but I don't think I'd realized how disappointed I was going to be. Just walked away really underwhelmed.

I did this like a week back. Even though Solace wasnt as good as Casino Royale, its still badass. Craig kicks some ass.

                        • I'm probably the only one but I really dislike the Craig Bond's. They've taken the cartoon that is James Bond and turned him into just another tough guy spy, it's not that I disliked Casino Royale it's just that I thought I was watching an episode of 24 instead of a Bond movie, and as someone who grew up on Sean Connery and Roger Moore that upset me.

The way I see it, the first two Craig Bonds need to be justified by a third. In the first movie, he wasn't supposed to be the Bond of the past movies, he was supposed to be a rougher version of that (which, personally, I think Craig pulled off wonderfully). In the second, he's supposed to go and get his revenge. Of course, Solace could have done with a bit more development. It wound up being a bit of a simple movie. That said, if, in the third movie, Craig becomes the Bond after the ordeal that's supposed to turn him into Bond, then it's all justified to me.

That remains to be seen though.
