  • I need to start my movie awards preparation. What would you say were the best films of 2009?

I already know I need to watch Up, the Hurt Locker and Away We Go. What else?

Did you call up your biggest black friend to stroke your head while doing so?

          • Whatever Works is not worth mentioning, trust me. Just another middle of the road Woody Allen movie.

            • Yeah, it wasn't even an enjoyable movie that was just kind of there (The Brothers Bloom, Sunshine Cleaning). It was just kind of there.

Meh, I disagree with that. Maybe being such a huge Larry David fan helped but I really enjoyed the movie and I thought the message was a good one.

                    • Favorite films or best films? Precious was a great movie with a good message, but there is absolutely no enjoyment to be had while watching that entire move.

I think Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy is a better movie than book.
