  • "Unrelenting in its pure awfulness"

The reviews on Wolfman are in & they arent pretty:

I thought it was going to be campy-steampunky Victorian like the classic 1932 Lon Chaney Jr. & Maria Ouspenskaya as the Gypsy Fortune Teller, uhhhh, no. Apparently it's shameful & awful & Oscar winner Del Toro s/b rethinking his career film choices. It got one star *, & that was being too generous.

They had to hire an opera singer to replicate the howling, maybe they should've hired Christina Aguilera, who once hit A below middle C during a Pepsi commercial recording session.

    • Its sad to hear, cause Im a huge fan of Del Toro, and I think the man is a fantastic actor.

          • Julia Roberts is in Valentines Day for 6 minutes...She made $3 million dollars. I'm no math major, but I think that's $500,000 per minute on screen.

            **** you Hollywood.

              • I just saw the movie Gigantic with Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanael. If anyone approaches you to watch this movie, please refuse. It was trying to so hard to be indy just for the sake of it. For long stretches of the movie, we were not sure if Zooey's character was insanely quirky or mentally ********. So many things in the movie weren't explained in an effort to be off beat and indy and it really just failed. Avoid this movie at all costs.

                • I had a feeling Slumdog Millionaire would be pretty undeserving of a Best Picture nod, let alone a win, but I didn't think it would be this underwhelming. I lowered my expectations and waited a long time to see it.

I lost interest midway through, but the ending caught my attention once again after a very good start. Really wasn't on the edge of my seat at any portion and it had a few good scenes, but the only reason to watch this is because of Boyle's terrific direction. Boyle is one of the most diverse directors out there, but what I love most is his style. Apparently he has human fecal matter fetish. I only watched this because I want to see his movies. Average movie, which is what I expecting.

I heard some criticism over the dancing sequence that takes place at the end, but WTF? It was over the credits. The movie was over. I don't know why that got attention. It had no impact on the movie at all.

Question though, what's the consensus on I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell? I read nothing but terrible reviews of it, but ended up watching it the other night. Going in with such low expectations, I actually laughed a few times.

I'm not sure what to think though. All I know is the main character really is a douche. Thoughts?

...Talk about a 180, from Disney to sleeping with midgets and deaf girls.
Anyone? I need some thoughts. I haven't read the book and don't plan to, so I'm trying to figure out whether this movie has any redeeming qualities or if it's just plain garbage like most critics said.

The book is pure garbage. It is just about how Tucker Max is better than women. Each individual can be funny on its own, but considering its coming from a deusche bag its hard to read.

Thanks to BoneKrusher Credit and Rep to him for the sig.

                          • Leo DiCaprio's upcoming slate of films is just plain sick. Does the guy sleep? That has to be 20 years of work.
