    • Anyone care to explain the movie No Country for Old Men?
I loved it, up until the very end. Even to the point where Sugar got in that car accident and took off, then all of a sudden Tommy Lee Jones is talking about a dream he had with his father. I found that to be rather irrelevant, but maybe I am missing something. Anyone???

I didnt know that. But it still leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, what happened to Sugar after he left the car scene? What happened to the money that was never taken? I know that Llewelyn died and so did his wife, but thats as far as it goes.

Chigurh walks away unscathed. A bone is sticking out his arm, but he's Anton ******* Chigurh, so it's just a flesh wound

I knew that. And thats pretty much what I got from it. lol. But what happened to the money? I guess I can conlcude that the movie was about more than the money. Especially in Sugar's case. Where he always did what he said.

That's not what I interpreted from the end at all. I just thought it was eluding to the title of the movie, that the world was just passing him by.

                    • Seeing Juno tonight... I've heard someone say it's their favorite movie ever and another person say they hated it. And they're both my best friends. So I'm anxious.

Thats exactly what I took from it as well.

The ending either alienates, or captivates you. For me, it was the latter. We're so used to movies building up to a huge inevitable showdown, those of which never actually happen in real life. The themes of Man trying to fight the world, wondering if he belongs anymore... and to overcome the odds to make off with the cash and the girl are evident. But as such bad mother ******* monsters such as Bardem prove, this friggin aint true romance, things dont always end smoothly or the way you expect.

Although, I can understand those who detest open endings. Its just, I don't.

                                And for the record,
Chigurh has the money, as evidenced by Tommy Lee Jones going back to the hotel crime scene and seeing the unscrewed vent, as well as Chigurh paying the kid off for his shirt.
