I can only hope. Whenever I go see a movie I try to convince myself it's going to be awful (as many of the major studio movies seem to be) so that I am not entirely disappointed or so I am impressed.

I'm always skeptical when there is a movie adaption of a video game, and vice versa. But this one actually looks promising. And I don't believe it came out yet.

That movie had such a negative effect on the Marine Corps. I attended a lecture on base last year talking about how media and entertainment outlets' negative portrayal of the Marine Corps led to record lows in enlistment numbers. Yet when a movie like Jarhead came out numbers spiked despite the war.

Weird, I would assume the opposite would happen.

I personally think Enemy at the Gates is better then the Rock, but I do like Sean Connery alot in The Rock.

Movies involving the Marine Corps during the 90s generally portrayed the Marine Corps in a negative manner partly in fact because of the lack of military opperations going on. When the war on Terror broke out, people saw the need for glorifying and dramaticisng the exciting lives and sacrifice made by the Marine Corps

                              • They could have made Rocky Balboa so much better. Should have brought Mr. T back. Just a random thought...I was watching it earlier today. I've seen it a few times.
