  • 2 part DH....wow...I'm going to be 30 by the time this series is wrapped up...Everything Harry Potter related seems to come out in July tho. Talk about disappointing.

    • To be honest I couldn't care less about the delay. I've always been a huge fan of the books but the movies pale greatly in comparison.

      • I also am a big fan of the books, but unlike you VodooMonkey I really enjoy the movie. The first 3 were pretty good but I loved the 4th and the 5th. With the Goblet of Fire being my favourite. And I think it's a good idea to have Deathly Hallows as 2 movies, too much going on to pack into one movie. My hope is that they release the two close to each other, kind of like the Matrix movies, so that the first part is still fresh in people's heads.

        • So I was high as a kite and saw Pineapple Express and didn't think it was all that great. Normally I love these kinds of movies but I got left pretty cold; I think Seth Rogen's act is starting to grind on me, he basically is only capable of playing himself.

          • For those of you looking forward to Killing Pablo...Javier Bardem had to drop out of the lead role opposite Christian Bale, that role has been picked up by Edgar Ramirez.

            Thanks BoneKrusher^

            • watched Tropic Thunder last night ending all 3 comedies I've watch during the summer (Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, Step Brothers) and I ranked them all in order as so,

              1. Tropic Thunder
              2. Pineapple Express
              3. Step Brothers

Tropic Thunder ranked ahead of both movies because of the actors and the princapal of the story was way more original than both they other. Great perforamnces by Robert Downey Jr, Tom Cruise, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and even Matthew McConaughey.

                • Earlier today I was trying to think of famous movies (that aren't musicals) where people sang or lip synced to a song. For some reason I've only thought of 3 movies but I know there are a lot more but I'm having a brain blockage. All I could think of was: Top Gun- You've Lost That Loving Feeling, Ferris Bueller's Day Off- Danke Schoen/Twist & Shout, and Back to the Future- Johnny B. Goode.

                  • Most of you will not care but for anyone in near Toronto who really wants to see Zack and Miri Make a Porno it was just announced it will be at the Toronto International Film Festival. I plan on buying tickets using a Visa the second they go on sale which is this coming Friday. For anyone interested other notable films announced include Charlie Kaufman's Synecdote New York, Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler, and Steven Soderbergh's (sp) Che in two parts. Keep in mind that these were only announced in addition to 10 or so other movies. The entire list is revealed Monday.

                    • I just saw Harold and Kumar 2 and I have to say the first movie is soooooooo much better. This one was just a little too over the top and they tried to make way too many connections to the first movie. Kind of like this sequel was coming some 10 years after the first and everyone needed little reminders of the good ole jokes in the first one. It was just kind of strange. If you play these two movies back to back the 2nd one just seems off the wall. Now, I love these guys, they are hilarious but, this one didnt live up to the first movie....it doesnt even seem like it's written by the same people. It was just off, imo. If i gave the first one an 8, I'd give this one a 5.

                      Thanks BoneKrusher^

                      • Harold and Kumar was funny and all, and you got to see Malin Akerman's rack which is never a bad thing, but I wasnt a huge fan. It was just too...stupid for me. On another note, I watched The Royal Tenenbaums the other day. Easily a top 10 favourite movie of mine. What a fantastic film. Wes Anderson is a comedic genius, and to see a dark, intelligent comedy admidst the garbage that frequents out theatres lately is a blessing. The man can do no wrong IMO. Paul and I were talking, the scene where Margot gets off the bus to greet Richie with "These Days" by Nico playing in the background is just spectacular.

Jack Black wasn't that funny in it though, he was alright but not up to his standards. I agree with the others, Stiller was actually funnier then his same old normal comedy.

What? Black was Hilarious when he was tied up to the tree, when he was yelling "My ass!!!" in slow mo, his addiction. I could go on and on....

I watched it for the first time a couple days ago as well. Awesome movie. Great cast too.
