    • The Invisible was awful...story was outrageously stupid. The movie trailer was completely misleading. Some of the trailer was comprised of deleted scenes...ugh. Not a fan. If you like tons of pop and emo esque songs, bad acting (can't really blame the actors here), a horrible script/story, cliche after cliche, and distant characters....this is the movie for you. meh...it was good for a laugh, here and there...that's it.

I agree with you. I saw it awhile back, it was TERRIBLE.

For any Wes Anderson, the first 15 minutes is vital. See it again.

          • I might get killed for this, but I finished the Departed last night, and I have to say it is a bit overrated imho. I mean it was a good movie with great acting, but maybe I was just expecting to much after all the hype and the reviews.

Definitely not Scorsese's most Oscar-worthy movie. Kind of a makeup win IMO for Goodfellas.

I'm a huge fan of both Crowe and Washington. Still, it copies a lot from previous movies and isn't on the same level as movies like Goodfellas, Blow, Casino, etc.

Theres only so much that be done with the given prompt. When it came down to it Frank Lucas was a drug dealer, albeit a very very successful one, but like all of the aforementioned flicks, theres only one real way they can end.

Have you seen it? There are scenes that are basically identical to scenes that have already happened. I had a case of deja vu at various points during the movie.

It's definitely worth the watch. Just don't expect something on the level of Blow, Goodfellas, Casino, etc.

Well Blow came out in 2001. Not exactly an old movie.

i didnt necessarily mean old i meant great movies including fairly new i.e. IMO Cinderella Man is not an old movie but instant classic. i doubt that many sports movies ever made will be on the level with cinderella man.
