Also right as the sex scene is about to occur, Scarlet morphs into Artie Lange for the remainder and you start banging him.

Now you are just fudging the details. Unless of course instead of banging him, he and I go on a Dirty Work-style adventure and get to ruin the opera version of Don Quixote. Which would also make sure I meet Don Rickles. Yeah, I have seen that movie.

                • Artie Lange's Beer League was on TV last night. Possibly the greatest piece of cinema ever produced.

As you should have. I give the same VHS copy to my brother every year for Christmas. The only downside to that tradition is that we can't actually ever watch it.

It was Don Giovanni, btw. And yes, yes we are ruining it.

                    • So I have spent the last couple days working on a movie and attending first a Kevin Smith Q/A and I just got back from a screening of Clerks and Clerks 2 followed by about an hour of Q/A after each movie. It has been ******* awesome attending both events (with Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back still to come). I got up and asked him a question after Clerks 2 (despite my knees shaking so bad I could barely stand and almost freezing up) and we bullshitted about weed its effect. I did find out that he has not thought about working with Kristen Bell despite him being a giant Veronica Mars fan but I planted the Bell seed in his mind so my hope is he does work with her in the future.

I found out that there is a chance he will revisted the Dante and Randel characters from Clerks 10 years or so from now but besides that the Askweniverse (all the connecting movies he made up until Jersey Girl) is pretty much dead. I did not think there was a chance Clerks 3 may some day be made so that was pretty cool to hear. There were some really great questions and awesome and informative answers so I have all the information on him I could ever hope for.

The Smith Fest itself so far has been great. The theatre serves beer and there are people who go up and down the isles selling beer which I thought was pretty ******* cool. It was also nice to see many people lighting joints and getting high in the theatre without reprecussion. Kevin Smith himself commented on that and seemed impressed. I am really looking forward to tomorow as I have not seen Chasing Amy since I lost my DVD copy years ago and Mallrats is always fun. I hope to think of more great questions so hopefully I can ask a question after every movie now that I have broken the ice and spoken to one of my directing idols (I know Kevin Smith isn't really a guy film buffs idolize and people probably think I am a fool for idolizing him so to that I say **** you).

The movie I shot was also a lot of fun. I was taught how to operate a boom mic and operated it for most of the day since it is such a ***** of a job and nobody wants to do it. We worked with a true HD camera (and we were able to use a camera that costs over 10,000 dollars for free, connections FTW). I also decided after much thought and discussions with various people that I will be shooting my next film in 16mm partly because it will look awesome and partly because nobody works with film anymore when doing really low budget films so I hope it helps the movie stand out. Lucky for me last year was really up and down and full of emotion (I don't know quite what that means) so I feel I am a better writer for it and I know have **** to write about. I hope my script doesn't blow too hard.

Anyways for all who read my overly ******* long post that was full of my rambling you are a better man than I. Now time for a smoke and Monkey Shines.

For those who dont know, its the same role he played in Fear and Loathing, as Raoul Duke is Hunter S Thompson. He should be wonderful in the role again, and the Rum Diary is my 2nd favorite piece of writing from Thompson (after Fear and Loathing). Its excellent.

And from what I heard about Amber, she didnt beat out scarlett or kiera based on acting chops. Those two wont do the nudity required for the role, whereas Heard has no qualms about that. In fact, I heard that in The Informers, her next movie (which also happens to be a fantastic novel from a fave author of mine, Bret Easton Ellis), she is naked in every scene she is in.
No love for Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail? Come to think of it, I should go re-read that book right now. IMO that was HST at his finest.

You are not a fool. How can one not idolize the God that is Kevin Smith? By the way, I'm so ******* jealous of you right now.

Anything by HST is good. The man never wrote a bad word in his life IMO. But I enjoy his more fictional works, like Fear and Loathing and The Rum Diary, even though they are awesome examples of gonzo in themselves...
