I cant believe you just said that How to Lose Friends and Alienate People was better then Run, Fat Boy Run...The latter in a far better film.

Lets pretend for a moment that HTLFAAP was even remotely funny to start...It was still nothing compared to the biography it was based on, as it lost most of its wit and bite and satire in the adaption...The ONLY, and I repeat ONLY appealing thing about HTLFAAP was Megan Fox in black lingerie. Other then that, it was a complete sellout for Simon Pegg. The movie itself was atrocious. Again, to reiterate, Megan Fox in lingerie. Thats all.

Run, Fat Boy Run was a far superior film. It was smart humor, something Pegg is used to, was a great underdog story, and shows legit acting chops for Pegg. The scene in the park with his kid is actually touching. Great supporting cast in Thandie Newton and Hank Azaria.

I am in shock that you suggested that hollow ****** romcom over a solid film like Run Fatboy Run.

How To Lose Friends and Alienate People was utter rubbish. It was neither funny or heartwarming or whatever else it was trying to do.

I'm a Simon Pegg fan, so yes I laughed during the movie. I guess I'm less of a critic and more of just looking to be entertained for an hour and a half.

Maybe it doesn't say much, but I enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, How to Lose Friends, and Run Fatboy Run soooo. Remember, opinon...I can agree to disagree. I see why some didn't like How to Lose Friends.

How can you like Simon Pegg and still like How to Lose Friends? Its a huge deviation from his regular style of comedy and it was a sellout movie for him to do. If you like his other movies, it doesnt make sense to like How to Lose Friends. It was bad, and Pegg was bad in it. Which pains me to say, because I do love his older stuff.

              • Speaking of Pegg, Bill Hader is rumored to be in Paul. Mattola, Pegg, Frost and Hader sounds good to me.

                • Just finished Gone Baby Gone.... that's 2 very good movies in 2 nights (In Bruges, last night). My luck usually isn't that good.

Oh, the fat guy in the Simon Pegg movies is hilarious. Shawn of the Dead is classic.

If yes, who would play Michael?

Probably that dude that played B.I.G.

I can't think of a lot of big guys like that in Hollywood, let alone a minority one. Except for that huuuuuge dude from Old School but it obviously wouldn't be him.

                        • Yeah Sandra Bullock is attached as Leigh Anne Touhy, Michael's adopted mother. They will most likely go with a newcomer, like they did in Notorious. You just don't find guys at Big Mikes' size that often in acting.

Or how about the guy who played Tyrone in 'Snatch'. He's British but he could work. Probably too old though.

Personal choice, is Daniel Day-Lewis. DDL can play anybody. He'll probably take HGH to bulk up and live in the streets of Memphis for a year. Get some Robert Downey Jr. Tropic Thunder make-up going on, and DDL can say "Hello Oscar".

It has a very noir feel to it, so if you dont like noir, you might not like it.

Well now that I know Bullock is attached I can throw out any hope I once had that the movie will be even half decent.
