      • Those 2 goals. OMFG. Unbelievable.

Just puttin it out there, which goal would you say is the best out of the 3?

Ronaldo vs. Arsenal (3-1) - where they break from the corner, he backhells it to Park, who runs with it and slides Rooney in who sticks it across the box for Ronaldo to slot home all in the space of about 10 seconds.

Essien vs. Barca (1-0) - no explanation needed I don't think, awesome strike but an individual effort and an element of "hit and hope" in my opinion

Iniesta vs. Chelsea (1-1) - rolled across to him, strikes it with the outside of his foot and sticks it in the top corner in the 92nd minute to grab the game for Barca.

Just interested in what people look for when they look for the best goal.

I'd probably say Ronaldo's for the team effort and how quick the break was.

          • I'd go with Iniesta's just because of the importance. Ronaldo's fk goal was more impressive in my book.

            • I was laughing so hard at the end. I would much rather face Barca than another English team. Dream final on paper.

And that is incorrect. The English teams dominate in Europe for a reason.

                  • You mean since 2000 Spanish teams winning 3 titles compared to the English with two? I mean based on current success English teams dominate by getting deeper in the tournament. But I'd gladly stack Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid & Sevilla up against the big 2. I mean 4.

Barca and Real are the only teams that can compete with the Big 4 in England and Liverpool totally destroyed Real when they met in the CL. The likes of Valencia/Sevilla etc. are miles off those two in the Spanish league and I think if those teams vs. Villa or Everton would be closer games than most believe. Still I think La Liga probably has more strength in depth.

The English teams have absolutely dominated the CL in recent memory though, UEFAs rankings for the past five years CL performances including this season are:
                        1. Liverpool
                        2. Chelsea
                        3. Barcelona
                        4. United

                        6. Arsenal

                        14. Real Madrid (after Sevilla & Villareal)

For me, the Premiership with 4 world class teams beats La Liga with 2.

                        • We all know the bundesliga's where it's at, that's why Hamburg is going to win the UEFA Cup, that is unless Diego decides to do his best baby jesus impression in the second leg.

                          • I guess if you consider Chelsea and Arsenal "world-class" then that makes a lot of sense. Maybe I look at it more as a historical aspect. But my Madrid team seems to choke away the Champs league because of our shotty management. You gotta win the big one before you are world class in my opinion. And Chelsea and Arsenal come up short. Manchester & Liverpool play attractive football, but as a whole the Spanish league has the flair. The majority of soccer fans will put the EPL first because of the big 4. But where does that get England in major international competitions? They need to develop their talent better.

Barcelona and the whole Spanish League are highly overrated, the only reason its not a man u chelsea rematch is because UEFA especially Platini hates the english league and would die if its a rematch, why else would they put an extremely unexperienced official who has never reffed a game at semi final level. There were 4 clear penalty calls, and he totally blew the Abidal red car which was bs, too bad Barcelona have no defense and without Abidal and Alves they have no shot against Man U. They had one shot on target.

They are highly overrated, they were extremely lucky that chelsea didnt score or get a penalty.

Man United will tear this so called team apart, besides Valdes thier defense is complete rubbish, and you dont win anything without defense. Man U's defense should handle barcelona like chelsea did with ease and they will win 3-0 or 4-1 easily.

                              • I'll hold you to that scoreline then TCU. I still think the EPL is more overrated because after the big 4 the dropoff is much more drastic then in La Liga. Most fans have bought into that media bias. You may get one or two games of quality like the Liverpool v Chelsea games. But after that it's a big snoozefest. Chelsea is dull as dirt. Then Arsenal will come out with a flashy performance then realize that they can't beat the big teams like Manchester when it matters most. In the EPL they tease you with like a good team getting down early and then just scoring like 3 in 20 minutes. Where is the excitement? Atleast people don't hype La Liga 24/7 like it's the next best thing to the World Cup.
