I really don't understand why CSKA was part of the 2nd seed draw, while Rubin was part of the 4th seed draw.

Rubin was the champion last year and has looked MUCH better then CSKA this year.

I think I read somewhere that it all has to do with how they rank in the past 10 years or something like that in Europe. That is why we had the German champ in one of the last two pots I think.

It's based on UEFA coefficients, which are accumalated over 5 years.

Yeah, I guess it makes sense, but still it seems wrong that Wolfsburg (German '08 Champ) was part of the 4th seed Draw.
