As for something else...our steal of the draft, Daniel Orton, rounded out his amazing summer going for 3 points and 0 boards in 20 minutes today.

EDIT: The A-Rod comparison is an atrocious one. Seattle knew that he was gone (and he was never Ken Griffey Jr. or Ichiro popular in that city), Texas gave him the biggest contract in the history of sports and he went to New York because they were willing to pay him his salary AND IT WAS A GODDAMN TRADE.
He was a part in making that trade happen and its a pretty damn good comparison.

So new rule, NBA: Unless you have a root canal at halftime, SHUT UP AND PLAY!

That's the "I can't believe people are actually going to give a **** about what I do now" celebration from Bosh.

He was never that big in Texas, and the year after he left Seattle they finished 116-46 and got Ichiro, who gained popularity far beyond what A-Rod ever had in just a few months. LeBron WAS Cleveland, there is a monumental difference.

The best baseball comparison (I guess) is Bonds leaving Pittsburgh for San Francisco, and since then the Pirates have become the laughing stock of pretty much all sports. But I suppose the difference there is that everyone had some sort of feeling that Bonds was going to the place where his father and his godfather had their success.

Is Bosh gonna be #1 now for real, or are they all numbers 1-3 just for the hell of it? And I think that Bosh may have been doing the "yayyy I'll finally be relevant" scream.

                • Derrick Character looks so good. He's always been super talented but if the Lakers can keep him motivated he's an NBA player. He's looking like Paul Milsap. The fact that Character is in shape proves to me he's dedicated. The skills are all there.

                  • so maybe I should follow the NBA. wish I had thought of it before thus, cuz if I follow the Heat I'll just be another bandwagon ******.

but it's futile since I can only really follow the Magic and Heat games, and for some reason I don't like the Magic.

                        • I'm not a Cavs or LeBron fan by any stretch, but from an Ohio native perspective, it's going to be really weird without LeBron in Cleveland. It's like he's another player now, not part of Ohio.

They said on First Take today that now that LeBron is gone, Josh Cribbs is the star of Cleveland...LOLZ

yea, that's nice. I would've liked him, but not at the price tag and length of contract. But now, we're gonna have to scramble for a PF. Right now I'm sadly hoping for Craig Smith and/or Al Harrington
