Lebron is a disgusting athlete with a lot of point guard skills. I wouldn't call him well-rounded. He's honestly not even half as good as he could be offensively. He goes to his jumper wayyyy too much and it's his weakest offensive tool. I am very scared for the day that Lebron pulls his head out of his ass and starts working on a post game. He'll put up 30-35 a night and it's not even a question.

    • Here's something I've been wondering about for a while. Everybody hates LeBron James for leaving Cleveland to pursue an NBA title. But didn't Shaquille O'Neal do the same thing when he left Orlando for LA? Granted that LeBron latched onto a guy (Wade) who already had a ring, and Kobe didn't win a ring until Shaq joined him. But the hatred for James stems from him deserting Cleveland, not the fact that Wade already won a title. Is the only difference between the two situations is the fact that the Shaqmeister was lovable and LeBron isn't? What am I missing here?

Personally, that feels like revisionist history. MJ was a quite good defender, rebounder, and passer.

          • One bad game doesn't change the fact that LeBron is the best player on the planet. His game is incredibly well rounded and needed improvements don't change that.

It's a whole slew of things that we've been through 100 times. From the decision, to the parade before ever playing a game, to saying they will win 6 championships, to quiting on Cleveland in the playoffs, it's everything. LeBron also kept saying he wanted to stay in Cleveland.

The Shaq situation is entirely different, he was basically run out of Orlando. First off he never once stated that he wanted to stay in Orlando so lets get that straight. Secondly he publicly hated Brian Hill but the Magic never did anything to find a new coach. Thirdly he couldn't get along with Penny and the fans even wanted Penny over Shaq. The tipping point however was that the Magic lowballed him. They offered 3 years/49 million, where as the Lakers came out and offered 7 years 120 mil. Even after the Magic learned the Lakers offer they still weren't willing to match LA's offer. Between not getting along with Penny and the fan base being split between him and Penny staying in Orlando was not an option. Also Kobe played no part in Shaq coming. Kobe was a nobody when Shaq signed with LA, he hadn't played a game in the NBA yet. If Shaq wanted to team up with a superstar he would have stayed in Orlando, Shaq wanted to be the man of his own team. The same exact thing happened to him basically years later with the Lakers front office siding with Kobe.

Shaq didn't play for his hometown, didn't promise his hometown to play for them until he got them a ring, he didn't have a 1hr ESPN special, he didn't hold a big ass party with Kobe promising several championships.

Idk bout other ppl but I couldn't care less about LeBron leaving. I just hate the way he went about everything. Also, when he does interviews, more often than not, he sounds like such a jackass and then he has to try and apologize and mend his stupidity.

I also hate everything the Heat stand for. All the bandwagon fans, all the LeBron nutthuggers. That's really my reasons for hating the Heat and hating Lebron. I also hate Bosh cuz I think he was overrated at the start..but seems he worked hard to correct ppl's opinions about him haha

you can not compare ESPN to the past to what it is now. Also sports and athletes are much more bigger now to the times of the past

                  • The sad thing is I feel like Heat fans feel obliged to downgrade Wade and promote LeBron just so they can say that this team is so good now that Wade isn't even the go to guy. I wish the Heat fans would hate on LeBron when he plays like trash the way he has the whole finals, he needs to step his game up. The fact is Miami would be celebrating a championship right now if LeBron played like the best player in the league.

The man won 6 championships and is the reason a lot of people even watch and give a frick about the NBA. No one will be like him and its ridiculous if some think some1 will be be.
In the same amount of time that Lebron has been in the NBA, MJ had 6 seasons shooting over 51% in Field Goal Percentage. Lebron hasn't had one yet... Kobe never has.

You would expect Lebron to have a lot/many because of his ability to get to the rim at will.

Anyways, if the mavs continue to do what they did last game, they stand a very good chance of winning.

They need to play the game tight til the fourth quarter then switch to a zone defense. With the zone, you leave the perimeter open a lot more times but you close the inside lane and the Mavs shooters > Heat shooters.

regardless if the heat win I don't think this ring validates much in Lebron's career...

Jordan wasn't exactly a set shot shooter from outside. A lot of people blame the current NBA shooting drought on Jordan's ability to attack the rim and score. Everyone wants to be like Mike and that meant somehow ignoring his lethal jump shooting and pay attention to his slashing.

                          • Is anyone really surprised Lebron isn't showing up in the finals? Isn't that the reason he left Cleveland for Miami, so he didn't have to? He didn't want to be the man, he wanted to differ to Wade. He didn't want the pressure to be on him. His finals performance is pretty consistent with the psychological traits that made him choose Miami over anywhere else.

Well yeah people can go back and look if they wanted but that's basically what we were all saying when he chose Miami, interestingly enough it's coming to fruition.

                              • Let's not kid ourselves.... the Heat are still winning the Championship.

It's just I despise the thought that anyone can compare Lebron to Michael.

...and I will equate his winning of a championship to Gary Payton's when he won it with Wade and Shaq in Miami.
