The fact that Harkless is recupperating from surgery and will miss training camp and the beginning of the season makes me

Other than that... GO MAGIC! LOSE! LOSE! LOSE!

    • I'm really excited see what the Kings can do with a full training camp. Hopefully a lot of the issues from this past season will be addressed. This is still such a young team.

I'm all about indivisual performance and stats this year. haha. Lose, Lose, Lose is right. <3 Afflalo.

I'm excited to see Harkless, Nicholson, and Harper.

            • So how long before Afflalo requests a trade?

              • He absolutely loves it in Orlando, surprisingly. He wants to be a part of the rebuilding process. He's our #1 here now...I love it. Hopefully he can take it and run with it. I just want to see him be selfish and aggressive, his game will do the rest. I've always been high on Afflalo. He'll never be a super star, but his scoring could def. see a big rise in Orlando.

He has an opportunity to shine like T-Mac did when he first joined the Magic.

My only question... will Redick's playing time get in the way?

                  • Afflalo just isn't that type of scorer, I think you guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment personally.

Good player, but he needs to be a #3/#4 scorer IMO.

                    • I don't know about #3 or #4, but i do agree that he isn't meant to be a #1. He just doesn't have the physical tools to take on that kind of pressure from opposing defenses. They'll burn him out if they look to him too much.

Nah, we know what we got. On a good team, he's a #3/4 go to option. But we're not a good team. No where near that. We're so bad that he's got the opportunity to be the #1 go to option.

If the Magic rebuild properly, Afflalo will end up being a #3 type scoring option. I think he would be best in a role similar to Manu Ginobili or James Harden. I have to think in Spurs/Thunder terms seeing that's where Hennigan emerged from. Not that I'm comparing them as players.

Mostly, I'm just excited to see if he can round out his game. Up to now, he's just been a defensive specialist/3pt shooter... at least that was my perspective as an outsider following his career.

                        • He's definitely not just a three point shooter. He has the skill to create his own shots, but again, this is with him as a secondary option in the offense. He isn't gonna get 1 on 1 matchups that favor him as a #1 option, this is why it was mentioned that he isn't a #1. He is in it's technical definition, but he shouldn't be because of his inability to beat double teams, create off the dribble for a whole game or get to the rim consistently. Oh, and if he's your first scoring option, you can forget about his defensive prowess. His legs will be dead.

                            • Has anyone been paying attention the espn's rankings on players. Some questionable ones but they seem to be doing a decent job. The fact that they havent ranked Griffen yet makes me feel hes getting ranked WAY too high.
