  • fck yeah. Manny continues to be my favorite active athlete. The guy is a monster. He didn't even need to chase but the guy just has some of the sickest hand speed and combo's I've ever seen. He can pull off ridiculous punches without even having to work his angles. His feet can be stationary and hit you from every angle.

Floyd better not pssy out of this fight. I wouldn't mind Pac and Mosely though tbh although I know many might not want that fight.

    • Meh, I've seen enough of Mosley. He's no spring chicken anymore. Hopefully Berto will beat him and continue to climb the ranks.

      Thanks BoneKrusher^

      • Oh and David Haye has a mandatory fight against Ruiz but, his promoter is pushing hard for a Klitschko brother. Haye isnt wasting anytime...he wants the big boys. Too bad he has a broken hand but, it's probably going to happen next year.

        Thanks BoneKrusher^

if Pac Man & Floyd fight, do you think it will be next spring in Vegas? Sunday November 15, 2009 1:14 Guest

I suspet so. Arum has said he would like to take Pacquiao to Cowboys Stadium, but MGM Grand will not let that happen without a fight.

          • Mad props to the Pac Man, a true all time great, maybe top 10 p4p all time. I love the guy and he is my second favorite fighter. That said, I could see (and would predict) Floyd embarrassing him and taking at least 8 rounds. I give him much more of a chance after this destruction, but I think Mayweather is just too damn good, his defense is faster than anything Manny throws and he can adapt to the angles (which is what killed Cotto). FMJ will also make a boring ass fight if he knows it will win it for him, Floyd will run like Cotto was (an anyone who blames him for doing so should actually lace em up) from the opening bell if he thinks it will win him the fight. I think Floyd is just too good and wins by a wide margin without ever hurting the Pac Man at all. Pac's performance tonight placed some doubt in my mind, but I have a hard time seeing anyone (aside from Paul Williams) beating Floyd.

            • Please let Pac-Mayweather happen. While I think Mayweather is the better fighter, Pac is more unorthodox which could give him an advantage against the guy I consider the best defensive boxer of all time.

What an unbelievable fight it would be; surely the fight of the decade.

              • Cotto's still my fav boxer. Helleva fight. PacMan just dominated. I seriously underestimated his chin. He took shots and looked unphased.
I think PacMan could take Mayweather. I hope that fight happens now.

Where does Cotto go from here?

Pernell Whitaker and Willie Pep say hi........but, Floyd is certainly no slouch in the defense dept. and probably slots into the top 5.

I honestly fear for Cotto next time he is in with a big puncher. As for whats next, I think a tune up againt a softie in MSG for sure. After that, if Pac-FMJ happens, I could see the Berto-SSM winner maybe?

                    • IF Mayweather and Pac were to fight I see a display of greatness like Mayweather conducted against Marquez. Pac would land maybe 30-40 punches all night and Mayweather 70-90. Win on the cards without being fazed. Mayweather's ring generalship is the best I have ever seen, one of the top 3-4 counter punchers I have seen. I just don't think it would be even close. Like Rob S said, and what I said last night in IRC Paul Williams is the only one I see beating or giving a real fight to Mayweather.

Agreed I guess, unless May feels the urge to go toe to toe with Pac-then it would be anyone's fight-but May's probably too smart for that.

                            • The fight is probably never gonna happen though. Pacman's camp will stonewall negotiations so it never happens.

Why would pacquaio dodge the fight mayweather has dodged more people then anyone i wouldn't be surprised if Floyd asked for a ridiculous money split knowing that pacman isn't gonna accept it
