    • I just made an attempt at chicken fried steak. Came out pretty good considering it was my first time.

Did you use wet or dry batter? Also I hope you had gravy.

If you mean the stuff made with non-dairy powdered "cheese" then no. If you mean baked macaroni, then yes!

EDIT: Also, to whoever was talking about chicken fried steak, a way to get it breaded easily is to crush up corn flakes into a powder-like state then dip the meat in raw egg whites to get it sticky and cover it with the corn flake powder. Then bake it in the over and voila. Works/tastes the same and isnt nearly as bad for you.

          • Of course real Macaroni, c'mon man, no one eats that powdered junk. Cheddar is the base of all Mac'N cheese but I usually mix in some sharp asiago and some Fontina or Gorgonzola with of course Parmesan on top. I cook Mac'N cheese like 100 different ways. Casseroles are always better, especially if you add Bacon and grind beef, or some creamed spinach. You always have to make sure to cook your sauce separately from the pasta. Mix when the pasta is still hot, it sticks better. Make sure when you are making the cheese sauce that you incorporate the milk slowly.

I remember I was baking a cake before and I incorporated the eggs with the hot mixture too early and I ended up with scrambled eggs as my cake mixture, lol.

              • It really makes a difference if you put some chili powder.

                  • What do you all consider the most overrated food? For me hot dogs, they are alright but eat more than 2 and I feel sick. So many better meats to be eating hot dogs. I'm not a fan. Of course I'll eat them in the summer time during bbq's, but I would never eat it otherwise. A boiled Hot dog is flat out nasty.

Two weeks ago I had a hot dog for the first time in 4 years, it'll probably be another 4 until next one.

Hot dogs are up there but I wanna say cake that has a quarter inch of icing. I find it sick. Plain cake on the other hand is good.

                          Honorable mentions:
                          Pretzels
                          Cheez-its

                          • I hate Pretzels, they are alright with mustard but they are too thick and bland tasting.

                            • One of my favorites

                              I make some gooood wings

before i put flour on them i marinade the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, cayenne pepper, and sugar.

In my flour 1/3 ratio of pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, and not too much salt.

No egg wash to keep the wings nice and crispy

Use regular hot sauce and ill keep what i put in the hot sauce to myself :]

                              • Exactly my friend. Exactly.

How about underrated? I would have said cornbread if there wasnt a thread on it already but I wanna throw Eggplant out there. Ive found it delicious every way I've had it. Fried with breadcrumbs with a pinch of salt is good hot and cold.
