  • I read somewhere that it's monstrously high in lactose. It both looked at tasted it. The creatine blended in was nice and gave you a good amount of bang for your buck if you don't mind creatine(I don't), but that stuff just killed my stomach.

    • ONs, Optimum nutrition is the best one out there. If your into slow processing ones its usually casein protien. Casein digest really slowly in your stomach, so its good to take before bed.

      • I just usually eat half a cup of greek yogurt before bed. Tastes better and it's mostly the same effect.

        • Casein costs way too much for me. Especially if I was just using it as a before bed type deal.

I just stick with cottage cheese, which I hate.

And Electriceye, we're not the only ones that had stomach problems with their protein, it's pretty common I hear. But everyone is different, if you can handle it, go for it. Not for me, though.

            • So any tips here for coming back from a wrist injury? I've broken my left wrist like three times in my life, and it's really starting to hurt when I do any kind of pressing movement. Starting to be a big pain in the ass.

              • The right cottage cheese is just fine. I love Bison brand and have no problem eating it all the time. They might carry it in Jersey and PA, but if you fully hate the stuff then it probably won't matter.

                • I love cottage cheese. It's also really good if you mix it with jam.

                  • I much prefer Yogurt to cottage cheese, since they are pretty similar I go with the yogurt before bed.
When I eat, it is the food that is scared.

Your fat intake should be at least 20% of your caloric intake. (Nutrition major even though a lot of the things they teach you is BS)

Off topic, winter is usually a time for bulking then you cut in the spring and bulk throughout the summer again. That way you're the leanest when summer comes around.

20-30g of fat is not enough. You should be taking in atleast 50 or even more during a cut. As long as they remain mostly healthy fats and you're working out as hard as you should be. Make sure you get atleast your daily EFA's. Avocados, fish oil, flax oil, etc,.
