  • Laptop "plugged in, not charging." Help.

This happened once since i bought the laptop. But in the last 3 weeks or so, it has done this everyday. I called HP and they re-installed the Bios. It worked...For about a day. And now it's doing it again. When this happens I have to shut the computer down completely, and its very inconvenient. The part that really bothers me is that the fan runs constantly when the battery is plugged in. Does anyone have a solution to this? Or should I use my one-year warranty to get a new laptop?

I used to have a problem with this, and it turns out that there was a bad connection with my motherboard. So when it plugged in, it didn't recognize that it was plugged in. I had to get my motherboard replaced.
