  • Mr Plinkett's Movie Reviews: Star Wars I (funniest thing I have seen in a long time)

I wasn't sure where to put this, movie discussion, random discussion, or youtube thread. Either way I believe this to be the most hilarious thing I have seen in a long, long time and it is too epic to be confined in any of those threads. Enjoy the seven part series on Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace.

“Some guy named Mike from Milwaukee, WI put together a 70-minute video review discussing the many reasons why the movie was horrible. And this isn’t your usual fanboy rant, this is an epic, well-edited well-constructed piece of geek film criticism. In fact, the way I learned about the video was from Lost co-creator and Star Trek producer Damon Lindelof, who said “Your life is about to change. This is astounding film making. Watch ALL of it.” Watch the video review embedded after the jump.”

He also has reviews for the Star Trek movies and he will soon review Attack of the Clones.

I love his voice. He sounds as bored as I felt when I subjected myself to the three prequels.

Although I have to admit, I bought the Star Wars II DVD, but that's because I love me some Natalie Portman. I also own Closer and I'm seriously considering purchasing the Other Boleyn girl.

this is funny. I would be shocked if there was some who made those seriously.

My favorite line from those (I subscribed a few months ago) has to be "bbbbbbrrrrrooooowwwwnnnnnnnssssssss and bbbbbbeeeeiiiiiggggeeeeeeee, earth tones people" line from the Star Trek Insurrection review.

He best not be chirping the Wars. The new trilogy, fine. But the old one is sacred.

"If you're someone under the age of like 20, says their least favorite film in the series is the Empire Strikes Back because it was the most boringist one, then I suggest you shut this review off right now before I carefully explain how much of a ******* idiot you are".

From the beginning of part one of the phantom menace review.

Of the hard-core Star Wars fans here, how many of you have gone back and watched Episode 1 through Episode 6 in that order and were amazed at some of the new connections you made?

I haven't done it recently. It's a pretty big time commitment now that I'm out of college. I'd like to do it again soon though.
