      • What was that move that Eli Whiteside tried on Polanco? Looked like a failed tackle attempt.

What did you see that I didn't? Eli Whiteside tried to take Polanco out. He looked like a pop warner kid with poor tackling technique.

See, I had something typed out...but this image said everything I wanted to a lot more eloquently than I ever could. There's no "inferiority complex" here, contrary to what arrogant New York fans like to think about anyone and everyone.

.....see, I can stereotype just as well as you can. Doesn't make the entire thing any less ***, but I can. Hate when people get into that crap.

              • The Braves future SS, Tyler Pastornicky, still hitting .412 with a .446 OBP/.916 OPS with 5 SB in some 16 games into his AAA season. He's actually hit safely in each of those games. He's really developed nicely since being involved in our trade for Alex Gonzalez. He's ready...should be our regular SS by the start of next season. Some bash the Yunel trade still, but Pastornicky could end up being very similar to Yunel, but a much superior base runner. Tyler is a very underrated prospect right now. He's still commonly rated as the 10th to 14th best prospect in our system. But he has all the makings of a quality every day SS.

You must be talking late innings because i didnt see anyone on second till about the 8th inning. Enjoying the youth movement though this year. The Ms have two future stars in Pineda and Ackley and i'm liking what i'm seeing in Mike Carp.

Good old fashioned double leg shot.

                    • Ok, I have to ask people on here. It has been my feeling that the Cubs, who are currently on a 6/7 game winning streak, but still have one of the three worst records in baseball, should start giving some kids in the minors a shot to play. I really would like them to lose because I would like them to get a top draft pick in 2012. Houston has pretty much locked up the #1 slot, but the Cubs are only 5 games ahead of Baltimore for the 2nd slot. So, if you had the opportunity to potentially significantly improve your franchise by allowing your current squad, that has no shot at making the playoffs, by giving some younger kids a shot to play/or just straight up tanking down the stretch, would you do it?

Braves have some nice middle infield prospects with Pastronciky, Simmons, and Lipka.

                        • Wait, do the Cubs actually have any prospects? Their farm system has bombed this season from my understanding.

                            • Yeah Simmons is another one. Lipka's bat has been pretty terrible this year, though. Simmons arm/range is ridiculous. The guy had a 98 MPH fast ball, when he was a pitcher. Lipka is hell of an athlete, but he's pretty overratd right now...and with Pastornicky's emergence and Simmon's overall potential, I have my doubts about Lipka sticking at SS. All and all, while Simmons defensive potential is fantastic and his bat is coming along, I still like Pastornicky as the best complete package of the bunch.

I just wish Tyler had a little more power, but he's going to be very solid all around. He's also a lot more advanced than Simmons at this point, despite being the same age. Lipka is still just a child. haha.

                              Thanks BoneKrusher^

Not much outside of Brett Jackson. I have some hopes for Vitters and Junior Lake. Them getting a star prospect in the draft would be a huge step in the right direction.....although their draft record sucks in round 1.
