    • Hahah. Giants are going to get run by the Pirates. You may now stick a fork in them.
The Brian Sabean sig is no more. I disagreed with you on so many levels. And then you went out and built a dynasty. I am lame.

        • What a waste of a great pitching staff.

I wish they had a WAR stat for GMs.

          • Here are the next batch of prospects from the rookie level Pioneer League

            Frazier Hall
            1B - Orem Owlz
            Age - 23
            2011 16th Rd. 495th Overall by LAA
            .400 avg, 52 hits, 6 home runs, 29 rbi
            * - big target over at first who has a solid glove. He has destroyed righties thus far. Doesn’t seem like he will be a power hitter, more of an average guy, I think he could be a backup first basemen in the bigs

            Eric Groff
            3B - Missoula Osprey
            Age - 23
            2010 44th Rd. 1,321st by ARI
            .355 avg, 59 hits, 3 triples, 8 home runs, 31 rbi, 7 stolen bases in 10 attempts
            * - a solid third basemen with power and speed, makes you think he could be a star, then you see he is repeating the Pioneer League. He needs to cut down on the strikeout, as he currently has a 42:5 K to BB ratio. He reminds me of a poor man’s Mark Reynolds. I could see him getting to the bigs as a platoon guy at either second or third

            O’Koyea Dickson
            1B - Ogden Raptors
            Age - 21
            2011 12th Rd. 374th Overall by LAD
            .360 avg, 41 hits, 8 home runs, 19 rbi
            * - guy can hit, but his body worries me as he stands only 5’11 which is quite small for a first baseman, and will he be able to produce enough power to be at first? I could see him getting a cup of coffee in the bigs at some point

            C.J. Cron
            1B/DH - Orem Owlz
            Age - 21
            2011 1st Rd. 17th Overall by LAA
            .310 avg, 44 hits, 13 home runs, 41 rbi
            * - teaming him and the previously mentioned Frazier Hall, Orem has a very potent combo. Cron’s calling card is his bat, which is his ticket to the bigs, however, he hasn’t seen any action in the field for Orem, which hurts his value in my opinion.

            Qualon Millender
            OF - Great Falls Voyagers
            Age - 24
UDFA by CWS from Univ. of North Alabama
            .323 avg, 54 hits, 4 triples, 22 rbi, 22 stolen bases in 31 attempts
            * - age is quite advanced for the Pioneer League, which is a small concern, but this is a guy I think a lot of organizations missed on. He has speed, draws walks, gets on base, and is a switch hitter, which I feel can be a perfect package and gives him a great shot to be a big league outfield, maybe more a platoon guy, if he continues to hit

            Fidel Pena
            C/2B - Missoula Osprey
            Age - 20
UDFA by ARI from Dominican Republic
            .317 avg, 45 hits, 3 triples, 2 home runs, 20 rbi, 8 stolen bases in 10 attempts
            * - very small body, which makes me think he may not be able to stick at catcher, although he has thrown out 40% of base runners this summer. He speed and hitting ability make me think he will be a solid second basemen, if not he will make it as a utility man

            Yimi Garcia
            RHP - Ogden Raptors
            Age - 20
UDFA by LAD from Dominican Republic
            4 wins & 1 loss in 11 appearances, 2.47 era, 1.15 whip, 43.2 IP, 54 Ks to 14 BBs
            * - misses a good amount of bats, and has progressed in his three years with the Dodgers. I think he projects as a reliever, and could make it given his youth

            Blair Walters
            LHP - Great Falls Voyagers
            Age - 21
            2011 11th Rd. 351st Overall by CWS
            6 wins & 0 losses in 7 starts, 2.57 era, 0.98 whip, 42.0 IP, 45 Ks to 7 BBs
            * - this is a guy I really like, he is averaging almost 10 Ks per 9 innings, he projects as an end of rotation guy in my opinion, and since he is a lefty he will get every opportunity to prove himself

            Raymond Hernandez
            RHP - Missoula Osprey
            Age - 22
            2011 48th Rd. 1,444th Overall by ARI
            6 wins & 0 losses in 5 starts, 3.12 era, 0.99 whip, 40.1 IP, 39 Ks to 9 Bbs
            * - starter as of now, but I think he will be better as a reliever, given his college experience at Cal State-Fullerton I think he could be fast tracked as a bullpen specialist, but nothing more than that, that would be a great steal in the 48th round

            Juan Carlin
            LHP - Orem Owlz
            Age - 23
            2011 20th Rd. 615th Overall by LAA
            4 wins & 0 losses in 11 appearances, 1.35 era, 0.70 whip, 20.0 IP, 21 Ks to 6 Bbs
            * - already being groomed as a reliever, could be a steup man or potential closer for the Angels in a few years. I feel he could add a bit more weight, being that he currently sits at 165 pounds, to gain some velocity. If he doesn’t make it as a setup guy or closer, be will make it as a lefty specialist

            Andrew Moye
            RHP - Helena Brewers
            Age - 23
            2011 15th Rd. 461st Overall by MIL
            4 wins & 1 loss in 9 starts, 3.74 era, 1.23 whip, 45.2 IP, 42 Ks to 11 Bbs
            * - big right hander who I think can develop into a 5th starter if given the chance to stay in the rotation. If he adds some weight and velocity, he could have a ceiling as high as maybe a 3rd starter, if not he should at least make the bigs in a relief role

Thanks to Bone Krusher for the sig

Yeah... you proved my point. Everyone wanted someone else to give him a chance... but nobody wanted to give him a chance themselves. Even though he was putting up monster numbers in the minors, there were many times he was called up, only to go down again... and everytime he got sent down, there were there critics saying he can't do it in the majors.

He's the only one that deserved a suspension.

Whiteside trying to take out Polanco's legs deserves a suspension.

Ya next time Whiteside should just let Polanco tackle him

                                But what about Scott Cousins!
                                Is that a rash?
