Wrong as usual. It's Rick Vaughn pitching not Maine.

      • I believe you are wrong. Rick Vaughn can break 88 on the gun.

Haha. He actually hit 92 on the gun tonight.

          • Yeah, I've actually seen a couple 90, 91, 92s. Doesn't mean **** though when you are throwing like that.

            • Why don't the Mets just cut Oliver Perez and call it a day?

This is the team that won't cut Luis Castillo or even GMJ at this point. The Mets aren't cheap (except for in the draft), but they seem to refuse to cut loose players without trying to get every single cent worth.

The mets should do cut a lot of people while theyre at it.

Castillo still gets on base at a good clip and has speed, so there's no reason to cut him.

                    • The team is very weird. They are cheap in the draft but yet they'll spend in the 1st round if they need too. They'll spend the extra million on Cora yet won't go for the extra 2 for Piniero. I just don't get it.

Meanwhile Wright crushed the ball and he's having a crazy weird year. He's hitting but I've never seen someone strike out like he has. He's missing straight 90 MPH fastballs more than I've ever seen. I don't mind the strikeouts if he's going to continue to hit like this but I think if he could figure it out he'd really be having a monster year.

I wouldn't really say he's got good speed at this point and he's got no range. I'm not saying he's Ollie P bad, we could have easily gotten a significant improvement with Orlando Hudson who really wanted to be here.

Yeah, he could be '06 good without all the strike outs. But I'll certainly take this over last year even though it's been down right embarrassing at times.

I think he's on pace to be even better than '06 right now. He's striking out a ton but he's walking more than normal also. Like I said it's weird and really nothing I could explain.
