    He's going back to finish the job off. Porcello maybe should do the same.

        He did pretty well after the 4th.

            Shame he had to pitch those first 3 innings. :)

            • 7 IP 2 hits 0 runs 9 Ks for JJ, Marlins have won 5 of the last 6. Lineup is starting to pick up, Maybin, Gaby and Coghlan have been swinging the bat well. Once again, Hanley needs to grow the **** up.

              That is correct comahan

                  Just as good as Casey Crosby but not as good as Wilmer Flores.

                    Hitting AAA, while being 3 years ahead of schedule.

                    Normal projection for 21-year-old prospect is low-A.

                      How in the blue hell is he 3 years ahead of schedule? He's been in the minors since 2006, and has been atrocious against AAA pitching this season.

                      • He's still really young for AAA but the injuries are killers. He hasn't showed once he can play a full season so you have to take that in to account against him.

                          AAA = 24
                          AA = 23
                          High-A = 22
                          Low-A = 21

                          Fernando Martinez is 21 year-old prospect playing in AAA.

                          Hold on, let me find a 1st grader, so I can ask him how much is 24-21.

                            I've heard this story multiple times before. Eventually something's gotta give there.

                              So you would have expected him to spend seven years in the minors? If he would have came over as a 21 year old, he would have been infinitely less valuable. Also, that is not the common progression anymore for anything close to a good prospect.

                                Fernando Martinez is YOUNGER then most College prospects in the upcoming Draft.

                                You know Pomeranz, Colon, McGuire. Guys who will start in HIGH-A!!!!!

                                Would he be considered a better prospect right now if Mets were to select him and put him in Florida State League?
