he's the color guy, it's not his job to call the plays. Steve Stone is really good. Hawk is horrible. Total trainwreck.
Yea, Steve Stone is awesome. And if you can bear to listen to a Sox game for like 10 minutes, you will probably catch times where Hawk says something ridiculous and Stone just kinda sits in silence or hesitates because he doesn't even know how to respond to such stupidity. And there is a whole lot of stupidity in just that 10 minutes...
I know the Cubs are pretty much accepting that their 4 year window with Lou Piniella is over and they need to start rebuilding, but I'm glad they've decided it's necessary to trade all fan favorites in the past 2 seasons.
Maybe it's because we give guys no one wants awful contracts, so we're ******. Sigh...
Also, good thing Lee is at like his lowest possible career trade value. We are probably going to get like Hee Sop Choi for him...
Also, FUUUUUUUU Atlanta (and Glaus for sucking post-ASB). Now I need a 3B in fantasy. At least it makes my player rotation decisions easier for now.
Stone is a great second guy. I'm pretty sure Hawk will end up getting a heart attack or a stroke while calling a game sooner or later. His call should be interesting after Delmon Young gets plunked for his cheap shot in the 8th.
