And I do not appreciate the hostility Brody.
I don't appreciate you putting down Greinke.

    • IMO if he gets deal Tampa Bay makes the most sense.he's from the Tampa area and the Rays can put together a package to entice the Royals

They're cutting costs though, which is probably going to hinder their ability to bring Greinke in.

In reality, they badly outbid themselves to basically trade A-Rod for $0.20 on the dollar.
I put the A-Rod "trade" series on the bad moves list.

I didn't put the A-Rod "signing" on the bad moves list.

Signing A-Rod overall had many positive effects even though it didn't bring them a Championship. If we could've gotten better value in the trades I wouldn't have considered it such a mess. Soriano wasn't a bad move really, then but the Soriano for Wilkerson trade was the point where it got ridiculous.

This is all moot anyways. As I later mentioned, Texas has entirely new ownership. They will carve their own path. I think they'll do their best to resign Lee, but I know the fact exists that he could join the Yankees. The part I disagree with is that it's a done deal.

I agree the ratings will not be the best it could be, but I really don't think baseball cares. I think the TV networks care, but the MLB should consider it a great thing.

I would agree with you. The NY media is an animal all on it's own. Even Randy Johnson had a hard time dealing with it.

Grienke should go to a place he's comfortable in. Minny makes a lot of sense.

Wasn't he dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader? Maybe he would like Texas! :)

                The Reds :)
We can finally open payroll a bit.

Factor in we need a stud front line SP.

I still want a power hitting LF first though.

                • If TB is cutting costs, James Shields can come to Pittsburgh! Hell, Brignac can come too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                  • If the Yankees sign Lee I will seriously begin to hate baseball. Which is difficult because I love baseball. This even as being a fan of a team that has a high pay roll.

                    • They're going to try and trade Garza more than anyone to get rid of payroll, and I doubt the Pirates want his inflating salary.

                      • I could see them trading Shields before Garza. If not Garza would be a very nice piece for the Mets.

                        • With how low Shields value is right now, and the fact that he's a bargain somewhat, I don't see that happening.

                          • I guess it all depends on what they think they'll be getting in ARB. They need to get that team out of TB.

They could sign Lee for less than the money coming off for Pettitte and Javy.

                              • What will the Yanks rotation be next season? Lee/CC/Hughes/Burnett I guess/Joba? or Nova or something?
