There are about 100 more "true Yankees fans" on this board than there are "true Rangers fans".

Amen to that. There are plenty of Yankee fans on this board and I can't think of one that comes on here and sticks it to other fans.

Huh? I never called Yankees fans a-holes. It just seemed to me he was the only one cheering for them.

He really isn't haha. And Paul even admitted that he is jumping on the bandwagon for the playoff run...and seeing as I post and care about the Blue Jays all year round as opposed to only when they make the WS or sign Rich Harden, I don't think you should be calling out anyones Baseball fandom....at all....ever

                      Go. Get. A. Clue.

I don't post in this thread??? You must be out of your mind.

...and Paul is a fan as far back as I can remember. He doesn't post a lot in this thread... but wtf? That doesn't define what team you're a fan of. You really need to wake up. He just didn't want to appear like he just started cheering for them out of nowhere. I asked in the Cowboys forum years ago if there were any Rangers fans and he was the only one that said he was.

                      • Rangers Prepare To Bid Aggressively On Lee
                        By Ben Nicholson-Smith [October 20, 2010 at 4:00pm CST]
The Rangers realize that it won't be easy or cheap to keep Cliff Lee in Texas, but they're prepared to spend big on the lefty once he hits free agency. Rangers owner Chuck Greenberg insists his club is not "going into it with a peashooter" and says he's prepared to bid against any other teams that covet Lee.

"We can't control what the Yankees or any other club chooses to offer," Greenberg told reporters, including Ed Price of AOL FanHouse. "We know that we're going to have to be aggressive financially. We're prepared to do that. But we've also got things to offer from a lifestyle standpoint."

Lee's Arkansas home isn't far from Arlington, and he recently told Jon Heyman of SI.com that he has enjoyed pitching for the Rangers. The feeling is mutual, especially now that Lee has dominated for three consecutive postseason starts. After Lee defeated the Yankees, Greenberg told Heyman he knows the left-hander is on the brink of a massive deal.

"He's going to make a tremendous amount of money," Greenberg said. "I hope he makes it with us."

                        • It seems like his wife has a good amount of influence in where he decides, seeing as he's only a four hour drive away from his home in Arky. If the Yankees offer a substantial amount more (15-20 million total) than what Texas can offer, will the MLBPA force Lee to accept the deal, same way they did with Sabathia?

If that were the case, they would frown upon it. ...but they can't force him. CC wanted to play with the Yanks. Not like he got other close offers and there was another place he wanted to go to more.

                            • Cliff Lee is going to the Pirates. Deal with it.

CC actually didnt wanna play for the Yanks...I remember him wanting to go to SF or the Dodgers because hes from California. He signed with the Yankees because he has an option after this year or next to where he can bolt for free agency.....and he got a **** ton of money.
