  • Agree with GF. Edmonds had a knack for making what should be a nearly routine play look like the most difficult catch of the year. Plays he made over his shoulder would have been regular catches for a lot of others.

To be clear, we're discussing the Houston version of Adam Everett, right? Because the Detroit version was a black hole on offense that no amount of defense could make up for. Just sayin'.

Yes, that is what I am referring to (although he was still good defensively with Detroit).

So congrats to the Angels, they have a league average player to sit at the bottom of their lineup for the next 7 years until his legs go.

Eh, he's still more valuable than league average because he's not THAT bad of a hitter. He struggled a lot, but it was still his first go round and I believe he can be a league average hitter with unbelievable defense, which is a very valuable player.

            • Jones was probabaly the best CF I've been able to see but Griffey is up there. Beltran was smooth like Jones in CF but he always played so deep to make sure nothing got over his head.

Well, I don't think he'll be a league average hitter, so there.

His legs should be enough to make him more valuable than league average with defense. He should get nearly 15 hits that 95% of baseball couldn't get. He's no Brett Gardner. But then again, who is.

                  • Gardner was probably the most deserving Yankee for a Gold Glove.

He's amazing. Ladies swoon over his receding hairline.

                        • NL Gold Gloves had some mistakes as well. Rolen over Zimmerman being the main one.

                          • The Athletics acquired David DeJesus from the Royals for Vin Mazzaro and Class-A pitcher Justin Marks.

                            • One of the reasons the Athletics bid so much on Iwakuma probably. They did say it was a precursor to a Mazzaro trade.
