Yeah, his walks are up, but his groundouts are really high. His sinker looks nasty and he's just started to throw it since March.

Oh, and the Pirates have their best record through Mother's Day since 2002. I hate my life.

    • I cant believe the season Frenchy is having. bleh. All it took was for him to get out of Atlanta, where he was put on a pedestal far too soon, then escape the bright lights of NY, sleep overnight in Texas, and land in ******* KC, where he doesnt have to worry about anyone seeing him play. ha.

I'm sure it wont last, though. Dude is still way too much of an inconsistent free swinger to sustain it.

As for current Braves...gotta say, I never expected Heyward to struggle so much in the bigs. It will come, but its been disappointing.

At least we're scoring runs, because Atlanta's team hitting has been pretty much below average, otherwise. There is no reason it shouldnt all come together as the season progresses. But a lot of guys have under performed early. The pitching is out of this world, they're all studs on this staff...just gotta hit better.

      • Epic Craig Counsell. 9th inning down by 3 bases loaded 2 outs and he sees 13 freakin pitches and gets an infield hit.

Thanks to BK for the sig

I'd like to retroactively reverse the Beckett/Lowell-Ramirez/Sanchez trade.

          • Indians just lost because of infield ******* hits that went a mile in the air off of home plate, perhaps the biggest bull **** way to lose.

You have the best record in the AL. You're due for a little course correction.

It just sucks when you can take a series against one of the best teams in the AL, beating Weaver/Haren in back to back games and defensive mistakes + infield hits where the ball hits home plate and doesn't come down until the runner is virtually at first base.

Would have been a huge win for us considering we battled back took the lead and then handed it right back.

Especially when it is this top heavy!

I guess you want to retroactively give back that 2007 World Series Trophy too.
The Brian Sabean sig is no more. I disagreed with you on so many levels. And then you went out and built a dynasty. I am lame.

It's very fun. MUUUUCH harder to follow though, as there's very little chance to see half(hell, even 20%) of the players selected in the first couple rounds play. It's something I try to read about as much as I can and follow my own team as closely as possible...which is luckily pretty easy for the Red Sox because of several fantastic websites. It's a nice event with a lot of very interesting nuances, the chief one being signability.

Only Rays and Jays fans can be excited this year. They've got so many fricken draft picks.
