        • ohhh so close. Everything was right in my dialogue, but this one tiny mistake. I guess I needed to put a comma in this line:

          “Man, it’s really hot in here,” I said.

          It doesn't really make sense to me, but whatever.

              • How to solve...

                x^3 + 2x^2 - 3x

                ?

                Blanking on how to factor it.

                and...

                1 +/- root of -23
                --------2

                  Screw that. Your teacher must be British. According to SAU, you do not need a comma there.

                    • I guess you could just factor out the x to make it;

                      x(x^2+2x-3)

                      then factor the inside;

                      x(x+3)(x-1)

                      As for the 2nd question, you cannot square root a negative number, therefore there are no real roots.

                      Now for my question, does anyone know the minimum, maximum and average length of contracts for people serving in the American military (army, navy, and etc.).

                      Thanks

                      edit- +rep btw for an answer.

                          • Minimum for the Army is two years, max is 6 years (officers upon receiving their commission must stay in 8 years, but that is not an enlistment) and the average is 4 years. That was in 96. I'm sure you can find out at www.goarmy.com

                              I know this is way way late but i cant not answer it omg

                              pour mixture through a coffee filter into a beaker so you are left with the sand and iron and the salt is still in the water solution. use a magnet to seperate the iron from the sand, evaporate the water and it leaves the salt crystals behind.

                                also a solution:

                                use diluted hydrochloric acid. add pure sodium. make more salt.
