    • Iron with a magnet for sure (Cover the magnet with plastic wrap so easy after that to remove iron)

      • A soccer player kicks a rock horizontally off a 40.0 m high cliff into a pool of water. If the player hears the sound of the splash 3.04 s later, what was the initial speed given to the rock? Assume the speed of sound in air to be 343 m/s.

        If anyone knows how to do that PM me, I can't figure it out. >_<

        That is correct comahan

              two ways.
              magnet...
              and then pour the sand and salt into water...
              let the salt dissolve.
              separate the salt and water.
              and boil the salt...

              the other way would be to melt off the iron (iron has a lower melting point than salt and sand), and then separate the salt and water... thats for brownie points.

                It's 17.17. I made the mistake to think the time given was the time it took from the rock to go from the cliff to the water, I didn't think it counted the time of sound too.
