Iunno man, deathcore tries too hard to be heavy. Breakdowns aren't necessarily bad, and if we're being loose about the term "breakdown" I like them, but when it's basically the entire song, or at least when an entire song is built up for a breakdown that sounds roughly the same from song to song, it smacks of try-too-hard. At the very least, it bores me. If I went along with deathcore one day and was like "**** it this is heavy I like heavy I like this," and tried to listen to an album, I would get bored by the third song.

Tool still doesn't get old to me. I like almost all music from rap to classic rock to alternative, and Tool is one of the few bands that I have always been able to listen to. I can listen to them when I study, when I workout, when I'm just chilling, or really whenever. Lateralus is an amazing song, here are a few of my favorites:
