Sure, they scored only 36, in yodapoop's mind, 36 is good as long as ur opponent has 35 or less. They won. So they should be in along with Michigan State as well.

Penn State's non conference performance was pitiful enough to keep them out I think, assuming they lose in the next round.

    • There's gonna be some interesting brackets this year. OSU and Kansas are two really strong 1 seeds, but the other two 1 seeds will be relatively weaker (Pitt and ACC champ I assume) and there will be some really really strong 2 and 3 seeds. Duke/UNC, Notre Dame, Louisville, Purdue, Texas, Florida, UConn, Syracuse are all gonna make it interesting.

      • My university got their ass handed to them and completely gave up. It was pathetic.

Man what are you talking about Kemba is SOOOO overrated. He only got 5 assists and missed multiple shots. Ben Hansbrough is the Big East player of the year and he shoots the lights out --> super clutch last night.

          • Has there ever been a more perfect name for a lily white, All-American, media darling college basketball player than Jimmer Fredette? He's the son every good ole boy didn't have.

Fredette would be like John Diebler in a real conference. Solid, sometimes radioactively hot. He's not very quick, IMO, and he would be contained against a solid defender.

Yea this talk of BYU making a Davidson-like run is foolish (mostly because Davidson was a 10 seed). Stephen Curry was clearly on another level. Fredette is a lights-out shooter, but I don't think he'll fare well against more athletic teams/defenders.

                  • So..uh...how about that Harrison Barnes kid. I kind of feel like UNC is gonna be the trendy pick this year to win

I'm gonna stay away from them... they might be able to come back against Miami and Clemson, but I'd be a little more skeptical that they can do that against a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 team.

Barnes is great, but has been pretty streaky. Not the type of player you want a championship team relying on.

                      • I kinda wish Barnes played more like a star more often. He really should be taking more shots than he usually does. He's locking up a top 5 spot in the draft. For right now though his biggest weaknesses is that he's a little too mechanical with his movements and isn't a natural quick twitch athlete. He struggles when he isn't able to do what he wants. Also his ball handling is not at an NBA level yet and needs big work. His jump shot is beautiful though and he has a perfect NBA body. I'd compare him to Rudy G at UCONN

                        • I know this is more of an NBA draft question, but how do you see Barnes fitting next to DeMar STRIP?

                          • Florida offense looks ugly early thanks to some stupid plays by Kenny Boynton

They'd be nice together with Derozan at the 2 and Barnes at the 3. Derozan is a slasher with zero range on his shot, Barnes is an outside ace who uses that threat to move inside. Defensively neither is good, but in the NBA defense is overrated if you can get tough big men to cover up.

                              • So in Lunardi's current bracketology, my predictions would have Sullinger, Barnes, Little Hansborough, and KEMBA! in the final 4. That would be awesome. Also, got a great 16 matchup between Kemba and Jimmer. Oh yeah, its gonna be fun........
