Where will Bill Cowher be at the end of the season?

Where do you guys think Bill Cowher will end up next season?

draftguru151 12-27-2006 06:47 PM

I think he retires. He has had a great run in Pittsburgh but it is time for him to retire and let Whisenhunt take over.

tampa.

GB12 12-27-2006 06:47 PM

For some reason I just don't see him coaching next year.

yourfavestoner 12-27-2006 06:49 PM

I think he'll retire, too. I think if he was staying, he'd make it known now, instead of waiting until after the season.

DHVF 12-27-2006 06:55 PM

He'll take a year off, than take over the Vikes in '08

Wait until Childress actually has some talent on offense before you get too hard on him. I don't think any other coach would have made a difference with their abysmal offensive personnel.

HawkeyeFan 12-27-2006 07:48 PM

He'll retire then Pittsburgh will hire Kirk Ferentz

Splat 12-27-2006 07:53 PM

I think he will take a year or two off then be back in the NFL I don't see him going to college.

I dont think anyone does.

Splat 12-27-2006 08:03 PM

I know but I have heard a few college fans wanting him I always thought it was kinda funny.

Tubby 12-27-2006 08:52 PM

He'll be out on the streets

Mr. Stiller 12-28-2006 02:36 AM

I'm not even sure...

If he left i want Grimm to be HC and i have a feeling whisenhunt is heading to Hotlanta to clean the mora mess.

I have a sneaking feeling that Cowher finishes out the last year of his contract with Pittsburgh. I don't think he want to go out on this kind of note but if he does retire I don't expect the Rooney family to promote from within the franchise.

Just think about it Logically.

Steelers won the Superbowl -> Cower is head coach of the Steelers -> Steelers and Chargers in the AFC -> Chargers win the Superbowl.

Simple logic.

he retires, theres only been 2 head coaches in pitt since 61' (Chuck Knoll bein the other), he's gotta hang up the headset.

He's Barely 50..

Could just be a midlife Crisis and he comes back for 20 years.

I could see that. Whisenhunt would be a great hire for nostaligic reasons (former GT and ATL TE) and he would be good in what he would bring, a sane, disciplinarian style head coach who would would have an OC who could take our ZBS line and have them in better pass protection and have our WR's in better routes and overall better playcalling than there has been. the DC would be a guy like Jim Bates and the OC could be a guy like Mike Sherman.
